This is my favorite post war blues tune.
Yep, Lightnin' was a Texan.
Very few sounds go straight to the bone like that one does, amazing sound!

This is done by the guy who is considered to be (debatabe) the first "white' blues cat. And this is his classic....
At his first recording session in 1955 Elvis covered a few blues songs, one by Big Mama Thornton, one by guitar great Lonnie Johnson and this one by another Sun recording artist Junior Parker, while Elvis would become ...The King....he fell short of matching Junior Parker.

You can't talk train songs and not mention....
This song has been covered by a ton that came later, a genuine classic.
Anyone into prison songs?
I have a ton of songs sang by actual prisoners right there in prison. Some as talented as anyone. And a couple did get into recording once released. Robert Pete Williams who killed a man became well known in the blues world and then there was.....Lead Belly, or Huddie Ledbetter.
This is his classic.

My favorite:
I saw David Allan Coe at this ty bar in West Texas. Full of rednecks and Mexican day labors. Me an my crew walk in with our leather jackets and combat boots... everyone looked at us like we just walked out of a spaceship. We had a good time though.
Been in a similiar situation, I gotcha.
I have a CD of demo's Coe did, none never released before. What a talent, too bad he lost his mind.
Hey for brains, we're having a little music fest here, ok? So how about taking your 15 year old brain out of here...got it? Now scram!
