So I guess y'all are going to carpool to our house for the GTG on Saturday?
Sorry we live so far out of the way![]()
Im an owner operator.I'd ing hate to be an owner/op paying for diesel right now
but dont make money on moving the trucks.
If they would get rid of the in taxes on the goddamn fuel, it would drop prices about 50 60 cents.
Every little bit helps.

yeah we do the same.
hop the bus saturday morning, get breakfast, go grocery shopping, go home and veg.....chillin the whole time not having to worry about parking or traffic...it's nice.
Who needs alot of stuff.who really needs a Humvee?! Seriously?!
There is some stuff you use Spurschick that you dont NEED.
If someone wants a Hummer, get a goddamn hummer.
i wish i could make changes but i go to work at 8 in the morning get off at 5 and go straight to NW Vista, I have to waste gas.
I haven't had a good hummer in awhile.
You may be right Manny! Back in the seventies, sugar was in shortage and it skyrocketed in price. It, in turn, caused other products such as cookies and candies to skyrocket. Later, sugar came back back in line price wise. Cookies and candies never went back down. This needs to be watched closely. Just so you know, a package of Oreos back then was about 79 cents and it went immediately to about $2. Inflation thrown in, it's about $3 now.
Oreos are more than that.![]()
I don't think gas prices are going down again, ever.![]()
See, you guys are lucky in SA. Out bus and subway system in Philly is usually jam packed with people, plus there's usually a lot of traffic, and everything is far from me
The biggest thing I'm doing to help myself with these high gas prices is keeping away from the Mall!![]()
Please don't say that! Although I did hear that on GMA this morning. They said that these $3+ gas prices could last a week, a month, a year, even more.....no one knows.![]()
It sucks for me because these days I am always running back and forth between work and school during the week.....and they are a good hour apart from eachother. If I decided to use Philadelphia Public Transportation, I would have to allow myself a 2 and half hour cushion to get to each location![]()
They could come down to about 2.50, but the days of cheap gas are gone.
No, I think fuel tax in Texas is 38.4 cents/gallon.If they would get rid of the in taxes on the goddamn fuel, it would drop prices about 50 60 cents.
If you operate off road, you can buy red dyed diesel and eliminate road taxes.
But prices are still way high.
Did anyone fill up for gas today? How much was it for unleaded? Here in Philly, I filled up for around $3.14 this morning.
I should mention that the fine for running dyed fuel in a highway vehicle is like $200 + $10/gal in the vehicle. If you operate off road, you can buy red dyed diesel and eliminate road taxes.
i'm giving my car to my Aunt and letting her worry about it....![]()
wel lwe were voted best public trans system in the nation a few years back. I feel dang lucky casue other texas cities do not in anyway have anythign near the kinda great public trans that we do.
I'm learning how to use a siphon.
Be sure not to suck too hard, that first blast of gas in your mouth is just damn-nasty.![]()

Dang...That SW can rock your world!![]()
You laugh but that was a way of life when I was in high school back in the 50's. We even picked up coke bottles(which had a deposit then) to get gas money. You had better start looking for a lock gas cap now. If your car is parked outside(san antonio is terrible), you may not have any gas the next morning. I know what I'm saying will come to pass. Hmmmmmmm...I think I'll teach my neighbor a good lesson.
I haven't done anything different.
Looks like I'll be wearing my socks longer than usual.
NEVER EVER EVER....SIPHON GAS FROM A MOBILE HOME UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING....![]()

i'd say gas will go down to 2.00 and hang around there.... the 1.50 and we were paying was way too cheap
