Lots of slow starts defensively this season. It's like they have to gear up for the effort.

The lack of defense and rebounding is really tough to watch. You'd think these guys would have some more pride.

And the Wizards played last night in OKC, and the Spurs have been off since Wednesday..... Spurs homers need to stop complaining about the schedule. Every team has a tough stretch.... Spurs just suck.
come on, you have to admit, the spurs' december schedule was one of the worst stretches in league history, if only because the western conference is stronger than it has ever been and somehow the spurs got stuck playing the top western teams for like 18 straight games.

That is true, it's not entirely a schedule thing, but injuries/tons of overtime/etc combined with the brutal schedule definitely goes a way toward explaining some of the losses

Spurs' defense seems to be of the 'rope-a-dope' philosophy, i.e., just hope they wear themselves out shooting so many shots their arms get tired.

The Spurs made it tough on themselves by their abysmal, pathetic play.

The Spurs just aren't executing...and it's for a number of reasons that come up on every possession. Bad timing on screens, off positioning/space, cuts aren't being made in proper spaces on the floor, and shots are not going down.

Both of you guys are right...the team should have at least 3 or more wins than they do due to the idiotic losses to teams they should have beat. That is exactly the problem with 'burning' games for rest really early in the season...it is its own form of arrogance, because if something like our December schedule and the number of injuries we've had happens later(as it did with us) it means that you can't rest people when you really should.
