like many have said. Cowboys were the only team in Texas for a while and during that time they were winning championships so it was an easy team to like...
PLUS i dont think anyone has mentioned that they would hold training camp in San Antonio to get the entire san antonio fanbase. Jerry Jones is a smart man.
I've been a fan since I was a boy (when they drafted Bob Lilly). I don't jump from team to team. I was a Dallas Chaparrals fan and became a Spurs' fan when they moved to SA. That's how I roll.

^^^^ Common sense would say this.I hope you are not referring to Football? The best sports on the planet after Basketball.
Still a fan, but not like I was back in Landry days. Great teams and great players like... Bob Lilly, Rayfield Wright, Mel Renfro, John Fitzgerald, DD Lewis, Chuck Howley, Lee Roy Jordan, Jethro Pugh, Cliff Harris, Charlie Waters, Mike Ditka, Bob Hayes, Don Meredith, Craig Morton, Roger Staubach, Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Golden Richards, Walt Garrison, Calvin Hill, Tony Dorsett, Robert Newhouse, Harvey Martin, Randy White, Ed Jones, Hollywood Henderson...I even remember Toni Fritsch and Efren Herrera. LOL! I'm sure I forgot a few!
Because there's no NFL team in SA, the Cowboys were successful in the 90s, there is only one other team in Texas, and it was founded in 2000, so they have a much smaller fanbase.
You really couldn't piece that together?
Not quite. The Cowboys won 3 les in the 90s. The Knicks haven't won a le since 1973.Cowboys are more like the Knicks of the NFL.![]()
Spurs/Astros/Cowboys since I was a kid. Geographic positioning... we don't need to make it any more complicated than that.
