No one is confusing Kiwi as an alpha - hence my theory that he ain't ready to take the mantle from Duncan. Kobe? He fought Shaq tooth and nail - literally. He wasn't waiting for nothing - he tried to take what he wanted (more shots, pussy, you name it )

When Duncan retires, y'all are fcked - Pop patrolling your sidelines or not. Enjoy these last few years of relevancy BNSF.
Oddly, Kobe isn't retired and hasn't been and you're still ed. Faking a retirement to gain plausible deniability during a press conference with sponsors doesn't make one retired.

Anthony Davis as a maybe. That's it.

Durant is great, and I am pleasantly surprised as to how well he has played since coming back from injury, especially how well he is shooting. But he has peaked, and his peak isn't as complete as Lebron's off peak.

Even current Lebron is much easier to build around than Durant. Lebron has undoubtedly slipped, but I'd still take him over Durant over the next 3 years.

That's just the stench in LA getting to him. He just admitted Tim Duncan makes the Spurs relevant even at his age. He then admitted that Tim isn't the beneficiary of a system or a great coach, that it's Tim himself. Can't say the same for Kobe, never could.

Davis, if talking about future. Lebron is still better than him though. Ditto Durant. Blake Griffin is borderline. Despite a some slight regression (lebron is still in his prime just not at his peak) rather have 3 prime Lebron years overs 6-7 of anyone else.

I like Kiwi but he is NOT even in this convo yet ...

Depending on how he performs in the playoffs, Dominos will probably be the best player in the NBA by year's end IMO..

I just really dislike how soft he is, but can't deny his impact..
... In games that don't matter.

Hes soft in the postseason. He doesn't shoot nearly as well, misses free throws at an alarming rate (93% in reg season). We saw in game 6 he tried to resort to flopping over actually shooting for the win against SA.

Davis can be a great replacement for Tim. But Le Bron is far more versatile and can fit better at the spurs lineup, even with Kawhi....
