Andy Dalton
Lol everyone taking a on no lyfe. Lol trying to spin the Wilson up in a way to prop .![]()
I don't know how to embed tweets, but SC just tweeted that out of 109 passes thrown from the 1 yd line this season, only Russell Wilson's was intercepted
And this is another reason why the call is the worst in NFL history. I'm not a Wilson hater by any means, but short QBs aren't the best option for throwing slants over the middle. Wilson hesitated because he probably couldn't see over the o-line/d-line until his receiving target got into view, by which time it was too late. If you're going to call a pass there, it has to be fade.
And short QBs are typically game managers/scramblers for that reason. They lack the height and/or arm strength to carve up opposing defenses.
you can criticize this play in many different ways, but Wilson's height being a factor here?

It is. He probably didn't see Butler zeroing in on the play. You'll notice that Wilson threw the ball when a small seam broke at the line, allowing him to see his receiver. A taller QB makes the read and looks off Lockette and hits Lynch in the flat or throws it away.
he threw the ball as soon as his feet gathered. i think you're reaching on this one. Kearse getting jammed the way he did prevented him from setting a pick
i disagree
I don't think his height is what caused the slow as release, that's just him being a mediocre passer, but not being able to see Butler might have been partially due to his height.
nice edit fgt
