Since Gerald Wilkins and Vinny Testaverde, a popped Achilles is a pretty easy injury to recognize. I've seen a half dozen of them and it's never been anything else. The only one that was questionable was Kobe, because he was somehow able to walk on it afterward. Never saw anyone else even put weight on the foot.
Kobe shot two FT's before coming out of the ballgame, he's a MAN'S MAN!

There's a lot of to say about Kobe, but his work ethic in the gym and his toughness are beyond question.

Nothing says "toughness" quite like faking an injury every time adversity strikes his team

Doesn't ChrisFlop have that annual playoff injury when the series turns against their favor?

If only. We'd probably have a better chance of advancing without that got overdribbling, bricking and turning it over.

    Yes he does work hard

But he only works on his offensive moves because that's the only thing he is interested in

    Can't respect that

You can respect how hard he works while simultaneously pointing out that practicing contested 26-foot jumpers is probably not the best use of his time.

Don't forget his media manipulation. That's top level right there.

That falls under the category of "a lot of to say about Kobe." There are a lot of ignorant Laker fans who happen to work in network sports that will happily write excuses for him. It's probably easy to manipulate slobbering sycophants who repeat whatever you want.
