It's good to see Penn lightening the burden on the relief effort by not stupidly sucking up valuable resources....
Someone died today because of Penn.
^^^^^^^^^ TPark when someone disagrees with him.

Funny.
Thousands died because of the governement's up and you still defend them
Whottt, you do realize they were asking for people to take boats to help with the recovery effort?
, you've been really wrong before, but you just keep adding on to this occasion.
Congrats?
ahhh someone got a picture for me, once again, flattered....
classic.
If this had been a republican actor that did this........
I bit on it as well - hence the research. I'd apologize [again], but instead let me offer you a picture of a kitten and a chick as a token of my regret:

I researched it. It's really a kitten and a chick.
What you don't seem to understand, is that most of us don't give a flying who voted for who if their trying to help.
Can you get that through your head?
.
Who was asking for it?
This sounds kinda like when they(Mayor Nagin) let people leave the convention center to save themselves....which resulted in even more for the rescue workers to have to do...when those people wound up starving and dispersed along the highway with no one having a ing idea they were there.
Yep nothing like a city wide disorganized cluster to make things easier.
I think it was actually the Army/National Guard who was asking for it. I don't see how people in boats getting other people is going to hurt things, but whatever.
You know why the US is able to kick ass in Tsunami relief efforts and Florida Relief efforts?
Because they don't have the Lousiana Government ing them in the ass at every turn.
I call bull ...that's not what the Army does...they want everyone else to get the out of the way and they want it done their way...
Since Honore got there...it's been getting done their way.
And they want to be in charge of everything because these people don't know what the they are doing and usually end up needing to be rescued...they don't need more victims.
Blaze, don't you work for the AP or something like that? The same AP that Bush writes racist looter captions for as a hobby? You my kind of people. You sure you aint a Republican?
We needed another thread on the katrina like a hole in the head..
Same arguement.. different wrapper..
If that's not the worst photo shop job ever...

Is that Sean Penn or Geddy Lee?

So, a guy works over all of a 8 block area in 8 hours, sees three US "government boats", and that means Bush is negligent?Penn said he had spent nine hours on Monday searching the water for people and during all that time he saw just three boats carrying US officials.
"There are people that are dying right now and I mean babies and old people and everybody in between - they're dying. There are people dying and (the US government are) not putting the boats in the water, I think that's criminal negligence.I don't think anybody ever anticipated the criminal negligence of the Bush administration in this situation."
Dude, the US Coast Guard has rescued 20,000 people in the last week, mainly by helicopter, and they aren't doing anything?
Just more pathetic political grandstanding, by a guy whose boat was so full with entourage, PR manager, and personal photographer, that they could only fit 2 victims at a time on there, and who managed to rescue all of 15 people in 8 hours.
There were people putting 15 people on their boat at a time, and the government is negligent compared to his 15 rescues in 8 hours?

I'm so tired of the politics. Jesus.
Salt Lake City Tirbune article
This is an article about firefighters from Utah who got tangled in red tape trying to get to New Orleans to help.
<snip>
They weren't his personal photographer.......but jeez Geraldo, I mean, George. But as specific orders began arriving to the firefighters in Atlanta, a team of 50 Monday morning quickly was ushered onto a flight headed for Louisiana. The crew's first assignment: to stand beside President Bush as he tours devastated areas.
I love Sean in "I am Sam".
