Tony Parker basically played like he was dead in this series and still was the 4th leading scorer on the team, lol.
Of course, he had the ball 80% of the games and his main goal was scoring...anyway Spurs are sleeping and the playoffs are not very entertaining.

Championship teams don't blow that road game in New Orleans. They also don't blow Game 4 with a chance to take a 3-1 lead. Aaaaaand they definitely don't blow a chance to close the series at home in Game 6.

Dem Spurs made their bed and now they gotta lie in it tbh......

No, nothing is unfair, Spurs didn't show up in games 4 and 6. If they did, the probably would've already finished Houston and would be on their way to the WCF. There is nobody to blame but SA, sure game 7 sucked, but games 4 and 6 were the biggest indicators of the series when the Spurs relaxed and got way too comfortable. Going 1-2 at home in a series that goes 7 games is pretty pathetic tbh.....

Maybe they were in that 7-game series
Which means: They got beat by the better team. That's sports.

We just didn't have it this season and Pop had his head up his ass. But the truth is without the paul injury he would've missed that bs 3 at the end of the 3rd and that luck chuck off the glass to win. him the clippers.

Last year, the Spurs were pissed off about 6 and therefore hungry and on a mission. Result: #1 in the NBA and an NBA-record Finals beatdown of Miami, a thrashing so complete it sent LeBron packing back to Cleveland.

This year, the Spurs were fat and happy after 5, plus they had a bunch of injuries. Result: Limping to a first round exit.

Hungry wins championships, happy does not.

    Still...5 rings, got!

    GO SPURS GO!!!!!

Spurs had a ton of opportunities, and were unable to capitalize. In the end, they got beat by the better team. That's sports.

    A wasted playoff tbh.

This year playoffs is pretty weak.

Cavs is pretty much a Lebron one man team again with Love out and Irving injured.

    Houston sucks and LAC choked.

Hawks had been in quite a slump after the All-Star break

GSW looks like the best team in the playoffs but Spurs know how to play them

Watching two joke teams like Washington and Atlanta still battling in the playoffs, while the Spurs, a top 2 team in the NBA season, are no longer in it?
The joke teams lost already. That's how compe ion works.

Last years Spurs team would sweep or at most close out in 5 any of these teams left, whoever wins will be one of the weakest champions in a long time

The Spurs are not a joke team.

If the Spurs were in the East, they would be the #1 seed and heavy favorites to beat Cleveland in the ECF right now. That's not opinion, that's fact.

You know what's funny about the Cavs? Their record is 53-29, which means they would've been the 7 seed in the West. By extension, that likely means they would've been out in the first round. Instead, they're going to the Finals.

Meanwhile, if the Spurs were in the East, they would be the 2 seed and likely going to the Finals. Instead, they're the ones who are out in the first round.

    This is so unfair.

What this really illustrates to me is we are still very close to 6

The changes for the up coming season will be most interesting. We ran into a very determined team and pretty much drained them. Watching the other teams it's pretty clear this was a weak year, especially the East. Miami would have been right back in the finals if Bosh was healthy and Lebron staying.

Its tough watching the Rockets play like idiots and getting to the wCF.

Supposition is fun but facts are we had every chance in the world to beat the Clippers and did not stomp them down. We gave them hope and they made the best of it.

This would have been the easiest year to repeat without injuries and Pop getting in the way.

I like our chances next season with or without Aldridge, they're going to be motivated as to try win a championship for Tim's and Manu's last season. Should of been getting ready for the WCF right now. It will probably hit a little harder when the new champions raise our trophy with our championship gear on.
as long as parker is in a spurs uniform gunning and shooting 30+ % while getting ed up on defense, while popovich continues to give him major minutes, the spurs aren't going anywhere.
