that song is an oldie. It's called Louisianna 1929 . It's not about Camille (obviously) it's about the great Mississippi flood of 29.
I posted the lyrics a few days ago. Aaron Neville sings a beautiful version (don't know whose singing it on the show your watching). Anyway, I love the song.

But honestly, because they sounded exactly like CCR and they looked like them (at least to me), I was, for the first few moments thinking "Goddamn, how can anyone look like that after all those drugs and rock N roll...and DECADES!!). But I knew it couldn't be so I looked it up. Foo Fighters did an awesome job. and they've made me love a song that I used to hate.

Hmm. Well, I remember the "Fashion Rocks" thing being on CBS immediately after that. Maybe it was live so they cut the benefit shorter (since it was on every channel).

The one after 9/11 was on every channel as well. It lasted all Saturday night. I was really disappointed in the length.
