I think Messi is the best player in the world right now, but Messi fans tend to think that Messi is on a different level. He isn't really...They also seem to think that no amount of wins can get Ronaldo over Messi. I disagree.
Ronaldo is easily a top 10 player of all time, and so is Messi.
IMO, National team football will separate these two...
Portugal winning Europ cup should elevate him over Messi.
The Euro tournament is incredibly stacked and Ronaldo is like Lebeta out there playing with a bunch of scrubs.
He already had his shot when he made the final in 2004 and Portugal choked at home. Don't see him making another final with the way Portugal is currently constructed.

go look at the stats for the biggest goals scorers in history, you'll find a bunch of no names nobody remembers or cares about. does anyone consider josef bican (3,567 goals in 918 matches), gerd muller, and arthur friedenreich top 10 all time? did anyone consider Raul top 10 all time when he was the leading scorer of the CL? no. And FYI i consider raul > cr7
ronaldo feasts on weak teams and penaldos and disappears in big games, he is not top 10 all time and not close to messi. Name me one iconic ronaldo goal, an important goal in an important game.
