I disagree. If a player is instrumental in winning multiple championships here, they deserve their number retired. I'd be happy to see Greens number up there if we win a couple more with him.

In reality once Timmy retires our championship days will be over, perhaps for decades, at which point there won't be many jerseys heading up there. The Bucks are a prime example, they retired a bunch of jerseys from the 70s when they were good but pretty much none in the past 30 years.

It's kinda weird, but the number means nothing. It was a little odd they retired Bowen's number anyway despite his impact on our team. The fact people haven't really been up in arms about it just suggests to me that Bowen's number shouldn't have been retired in the first place. I'm just glad we got Aldridge nonetheless.

Meh, bowen's number deserves retirement IMO. He's not among the top tier Spurs players like Manu, TD, Gervin, DROB, Parker and Leonard but he was instrumental in those runs.
