Notes:
Tim - Nappy mini fro. Looks skinnier. Pop says Tim's in the best shape that he's been in 3-4 years. He said that Tim is better in his eating habits now (Tim said the eating change wasn't very much). Tim said that he got to spend more time in the gym, not working on anything specific but playing pickup, shooting around, etc.
Finley - Shorter hair than I've ever seen him have. Nice, quiet demeanor. Stressed that he came here because he wanted to win. Thinks the Spurs could have won without him but that he will help them. Says he won't have problems with playing time, etc.
Manu - Medium hair. Said that this summer after he was in Bahia Blanca that he came back to the US for 3-4 weeks to work out with Brungy (trainer Mike Brungardt) to get stronger and in better shape.
Tony - Didn't talk to him in a formal interview situation. Looked the same.
Van Exel - Looked the same as when I've seen him before. Didn't see him in a long interview. Seems happy to be here and focused on winning a le.
Rasho and Marks - Came in together. Looked the same.
Beno - No brace, wrap or limp. Looks a little thinner.
Horry - Said that he really enjoyed this championship very much and that he'll wear his ring a lot because of that. Talked about the challenges of repeating.
Bruce - Looked the same as always. Talked about same stuff as always. Said that the worst thing about right now is that they are the frontrunners and everyone thinks they'll win the le.
Oberto - I didn't talk to him, but he came in with Manu. Manu talked briefly about him and said this was an ideal situation for him -- best organization in the league, community that will embrace him, lots of spanish speaking people here to help him and his wife, Manu helping him from the inside, and Pop/RC helping him on the floor, etc.
Barry - Joked around as usual. Looked the same.
New training camp guys - Didn't really do any interviews. Seemed happy and bonded. All hung around together.

Tim does look skinnier. If you look at pictures from his first couple seasons in the league, you can tell he gained about 20 pounds since then compared to last season. And it wasn't muscle.

I always thought Tim looked skinnier last season than he was the previous season. More toned too.

You thought Timmy was fat last season? lol. As long as he's still practicing his bank shot in the dark, and working on that left hook, he'll come through.
No, he's been ever-so-slightly chubbier the last couple of years. You can tell in the new picture his face is thinner. He looks good, like he had a relaxing summer.

There's about 3 (maybe 4) inches differnce in the two of them.

Has Nazr fallen off the face of the earth? I have not heard one word about him since the parade and I noticed you didn't mention him either. It's been 2 months since the Spurs could start extension talks and that seems to be a no-go.
Nazr was there, but he didn't seem to do a lot of interviewing from what I saw (he didn't come into the main interview room -- but a lot of players didn't). I don't think the Spurs would extend him until he gets more games in as a starter. Though he had a lot of energy and plenty of great putbacks and boards, he needs to improve his defensive rotations and a few other things before I'd think the Spurs would invest long term money in him.

Isn't the deadline to extend his current contract October 31? I thought there were alot of people here claiming the Spurs would try to do that? I wondered if the Spurs made the effort and Nazr had no interest in the $ they could offer or if the Spurs didn't even try.
Some people think the Spurs would/will try to extend him right now. I'm just saying that I don't think they will (I wouldn't). I have no idea if they've tried and failed, or haven't tried yet.

Tim does slightly thinner, the hair softens him. Keep it.
Manu looks like he picked up a couple kilos.
