Are you more likely to kill yourself after watching a soccer game or a basketball game?

It's your shtick, David. You're the one who wanted to kill yourself over a children's game.

The Mormons in Salt Lake were infamous for throwing coins at opposing players but Stern put a stop to it after the "Melee at the Palace"

we have cheerleaders for that. aka hotties with their s and asses hanging out while we just take it all in. america, es.
Why would a grown man care about chicks performing acrobats & corny choreographed dances at center court? Free BJs during the game or at least a lap dance during timeouts at the minimum otherwise they are glorified eye candies (might as well hire a pole dancer & make it a bit more entertaining)

Chanting has even carried over to soccer stateside. Watch any MLS game, and especially teams like Seattle, and it's a much different crowd than a typical regular season major 3 sports game.
Seattle fans are a bunch of wanna be hipsters, they need to come up w/ something original rather than copying European fans. I absolutely can't stand folks who are hardcore about some mediocre product just to appeared hip (i.e. hardcore Clipper fans in LA when they were absolutely garbage & now folks who never grew up in a futbol culture all of a sudden playing the part of a hardcore fan).

That's pathetic, David. As pathetic as copying two other people's shticks like you are doing here.

I'm confuse Dave, you talking about children game or about so important game which was matter of heaven or no heaven and ended as the most heartbreaking and cruel loss in sport history??? Or are you again being smartass David? cause that really pathetic, as pathetic as inability to enjoy a football game and then also trying to make fun of that great sport...

If you acted like this at an American sporting event you would be arrested for disorderly conduct.

    Serbian:

I kada ne budeš prvi ti
    I kada se čuju zvižduci
    I tada ću, Partizane, znaj
    Da te volim ja...

    English:
And whenever you don't be first
    And when you hear swisles
    And then, Partizan, you know
    That I love you...

Serbian and Greek fans are best in Europe
, especially in basketball. We have fraternal teams, Serbian Red Star and Greek Olympiacos and Serbian Partizan and Greek PAOK. And in Serbia Red Star and Partizan are rivals and Paok and Oly are rivals in Greek.

So, when it's H2H matches, then always is Partizan & Paok fans vs Red Star & Olympiacos fans.

They chant at the Sounders games.

Soccer's cool. All that passing, and running, and passing, and more running, a time limit that's not really a time limit - merely a suggestion that the refs add time to based on estimated stopped play, penalty shots to decide championships, and a 1-0 final score. It's neato.

Here a link with some quick vids of people singing

    http://www.lexpress.fr/actualite/spo...e_1715153.html

At the beginning of the game supporters were singing the Marseillaise that is pretty ed up out of context with such nice stuff like "To slit the throats of your sons, your wives!" or "May impure blood Soak our fields’ furrows!"

The equivalent of Defense Defense for French supporters is the: "Allez les bleus !"

Gotcha yeah American fans leave half an hour early not half an hour late... not much fan loyalty really in comparison. so you probably know Red Star quite well then I'm assuming? What can your average Spurs fan expect from Boban the Gentle Giant?

I KNOW right? "may impure blood soak our fields' furrows" - when i read that, i was like WTF? uhhhh yeah maybe tone down the violently nativist propaganda there... a little bit surprising the national anthem hasn't been changed in three? centuries from such a progressive nation like France. I guess history runs deep.

Yes, I have watched Boban many times. In games vs Partizan, watched him live, in duel with Milutinov.
Principally, he is really dominant. And average Spurs fan can expect more than he expect. I'm sure.

well right now honestly i don't think Milutinov is much to speak highly of right now... he's too thin and too raw to show a whole lot. the major knock on Boban is that he's too slow (especially on defense *edit*) for even an average NBA bench pick n roll/pop unit. for a guy who's 7'4, barely averaging a block a game seems pretty poor.

Milutinov is a huge potential. He need to work if he want to come to NBA, of course, but for now, i'm satisfied with him.
I think that Boban can improve his D / protection of rim in NBA. I talked about offense, and there he is already great.

well see there's this fantastically offensive giant of a center on OKC named Anus Cancer. he's a phenomenal pick/roll/pop, post player and offensive rebounder, but he is such a horrific defender, poor defender, and actually stupid individual that he's a net negative for his team despite averaging 18ppg and 11rpg. i guess im just excited to see how boban fits in, even if just for spot minutes this year. OMG perhaps the most exciting spurs season ever

    wtf

no way France change his national anthem... it has been written in 1790 during French revolution, France was at war against almost every monarchies in Europe that were worried about this revolution. Revolution is a symbol of France and La Marseillaise one of the symbols of the Revolution. As you said it runs deep and nobody will ever change France national anthem

It's from this really old song

It was stucked in my head too
And guess who chose the song?

Boris Diaw ! (And Flo Pietrus)
FWIW it is not Boris and Flo who chose it but apparently two member of FNT

for French speaker, here an article that explains everything about the song:

    http://www.lequipe.fr/Basket/Actuali...-l-euro/590624

tldr: song used by a regional band during baskert games in South West of France chosen by two FNT staff members to be the song of FNT for the Euro
