True. A little shticky, but I guess he can build on it.
Here's the problem them for these scrubs, you really can't evaluate them when they are playing with the other scrubs. What you want to see is how well they do playing with players in the actual rotation.
Unfortunately, you can't do that because it takes away practice time from the rotation folks who need to get familiar with each other.
The key criteria for any of the scrubs to make it in the team is HOW WELL DO THEY FIT WITH THE ROTATION PLAYERS. At this level, all should be good enough to play, however which one of them fills a gap well?
The current rotation:
Parker, Green, Leonard, Aldridge, Duncan, Ginobili, Diaw, Mills, West.
The rest of the guys who need to show they fit and why:
Anderson <- a lesser version of Diaw so I don't know how he fits.
Simmons <- very good slasher, but average shooter ... I can see him fit for defense on the wing.
McCallum <- athletic guard who can shoot but is clueless about passing. He's redundant with Mills.
Bonner <- PF/C that spaces the floor. Unless we see Aldridge or West shooting 3's. Bonner may still be valuable.
Butler <- Veteran role player that can hit open 3's and is 6'7". I don't if his defense is questionable.
Marjanovic <- 7'3" player. He's a fit because you need an extra guy to bang down low and tire out the opponent. Further, Spurs don't have a real center.
Fredette <- Can shoot but can't defend. Looks also redundant with Mills and McCallum. The only plus side vs McCallum is that he is a better passer.
Ndoye <- Center that is too raw. Needs more time to develop.
Thomas <- Undersized PF. Not sure if he can play SF, put seems to like taking the 3.
Williams <- Poised SG. Seem to reliably make the 3 point shot. Plays same role as Mills, McCallum, Fredette... that's 4 players doing the same thing.
Sykes <- Very quick and athletic. As small as Mills. Has potential, but may require more time in d-league or elsewhere.
True. A little shticky, but I guess he can build on it.
Thanks for the thoughts, nicknames are awful, though, tbh..

it amazes me how every year the spurs purposely don't give a abut the preaseason, but so called fans worry about it as if it's a life and death situation.
Ignore chump OP..He just hasn't had any penis on his a-hole for a while so he is Pmesing
I disagree with many of your post, but I really enjoy regular fans writeup and thoughts.
The Format could be better, but you did you a good job.
Ander should only be in garbage time because he's garbage, i.e. the week old raw pork juice mixed with molasses at the bottom of the kitchen garbage bag.

Paul Garcia PS @PaulGarciaPS The Spurs have announced Tony Parker (rest) and Youssou Ndoye (left ankle) will be out tomorrow vs the Pistons.
and so it begins with Parker's "bothersome body parts"
Is this game going to be televised? For crying out loud..
Just read a PTR about the game against Heat that I did not see, there are some gifs about Spurs plays... Some of them involve Tony and if we can have this Parker for the season, we will be fine at PG spot tbh
