Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here and respond in the hope we can talk basketball and not... whatever this is... that the thread has devolved into.
I think Aldridge and Kawhi are perfect star compliments actually. My impression was always that what Aldridge really craved was the attention, and the chance to be the public "face" of the franchise. Now obviously he knew Duncan is the true face of this franchise until he retires, but Duncan is his role model so I think he's fine with that.
With Kawhi, I think its a great partnership because Leonard doesn't WANT to give interviews, have a ton of reporter microphones in his face, make the commercials, etc. Look at his time with Team USA. He seems to almost HATE those elements of s om. LMA seems to crave them. So I think it's a perfect fit, with LMA happily being the mouthpiece while Kawhi can focus on the basketball.
