I made one post that wasn't even meant to be taken so literally, and was a thought I had the could possibly happen. Then Chumpdumper and his army of 3 riders come and attack. Even though I am rookie I put chump a person who dedicates his life to this site with 97000 posts that have nothing to do with basketball, and probably hasn't played a possesion of ball past jr high, and is sadly on this site more than the people who run it in his place. I just wanted to talk basketball. I guess people who dedicate there life to this site feel a certain way about new posters.
It happens in every forum of the interwebs, there is always some user with 100000 posts trying to -dominate the rooks.
I wondered that too, but they've been doing this for a really long time now. It's the exact same schtick; call someone a got and then post a fruity little emoticon like.
It's definitely a little less sad if you think of it as trolling, but when you spend this much time and effort on an internet discussion forum, being a little clique and ganging up on internet people with middle school insults, I don't think there's any other way of looking at it other than "This is really sad. I hope they have friends. Or at least hobbies."
There's only so much to say about Parker getting old and Kawhi not speaking a whole lot. At a certain point it's just talking out of loneliness.
Admittedly I do kind of like watching it. The world's only Spurs themed soap opera. It's like 10% Spurs news/legitimate opinions and 90% Grease Lightning. When you're a jet, you're a jet all the way I suppose.

I know what you mean. Browsing this forum is like passing by a car crash and not being able to look away. I actually find one of the krew members interesting in a sociological sense and that is Aposolic9 (or whatever). He is always complaining about "player fans" but happens to be the biggest player fan on the board, as witnessed by that compilation thread of his KL posts. In his case we have two possibilities.
1) He so completely and totally lacks all self awareness that it borders on being re ed or
2) He is doing an unbelievably elaborate troll job. And that actually makes him even more sad because his life must really suck since he has nothing better to do.
Right now my money would be on number one but I wouldn't bet much on it.

There's just no way someone is that oblivious, I choose to believe he's fully aware of his "player fan" schtick being ironic. I mean denial is definitely a thing, and is a symptom of compulsive lying. There were a few threads where he backtracked or ignored things. But man, it's the Internet, who cares about what 14 year old Tommy Jackson or whoever living in Corpus Cristi thinks of you.
I've had this little story in my head that Apolosic9 is like a big brother to da bom, and posts things all day every day so that da bom has something to do; like he feels sorry for him or something. I think I read in one of the drama posts that da bom said he's going to like a liberal arts ivy college or something, studying math maybe. I remember reading it and thinking, it's probably 50/50 that he's lying pretty hard here. I mean the way he talks and types doesn't sound like a kid who's old enough to go to college, let alone someone who could put together a decent enough essay to get into an ivy. But there's definitely some smart, hilariously awkward, socially underdeveloped kids thinking their undergrad degree is something to be admired (ivy or not), so jury is out on that one. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for his comments on a supposed college life.
I mean, there was that guy who dropped out of med school and still calls people got, so I suppose regardless of how accomplished you are, insecurity is a powerful thing. I remember reading he blamed his grades on how med school is fact based, and he's more analytical type, rather than owning up to not having it in him to see it through. Lashed out at doctors and students and said they all had terrible lives and worked all the time, I mean anyone who knows or has shadowed a doctor knows it is what you make of it, same as any job. Oh yeah, also he's some sort of African royalty and is inheriting money or something (black kid in med school - not to discount anybody; hard work is hard work, but statistically it's much easier to get into med school as 1. Black and 2. Really rich). Can't make this stuff up.
It's like I stop by other sites for my Spurs highlight/news/whatever fix, but still check up here because it gets real interesting trying to figure out what the is going on with these people. Are they lying? Are they for real? Delusional? Obsessed? Lonely? Legitimately trolling? Crush on Parker? A bit of everything? Who knows! This is my online TV/comedy-drama man.

Come on, let's be real here. At most everyone who still comes to this forum is in it at most 50% for actual Spurs talk, at this point. Other 50% is because of the people/drama. How are your classes? Upper level stats/calculus come pretty naturally to you? Maybe connecting/communicating with people is a little difficult? Like legitimately, I would love to think a little more of you when I see your name pop-up in threads. You won't just be 'this guy again', you'll be 'bit of an oddball, but hey maybe he's going places'.
