Not sure where you're getting 70% from but the Spurs don't even own a .600 winning % in franchise history.

He must be including ABA years. Since joining the NBA in 1977, the Spurs are at 0.615.

Lol a scrub like CJ McCollum already surpassing Kawhi's scoring high.

Kawhi takes too many shots = Kawhobe Bryonard

Kawhi doesn't score a lot of points = Lol a scrub like CJ McCollum already surpassing Kawhi's scoring high

IIRC, that's the record during the Duncan era

Thus, since the 1997–98 season, the Spurs have actually had 18 consecutive seasons with a winning percentage of .610 or greater during the regular season which is also an NBA record.

Parker scores a lot, efficiently = Enrique Hero baller

Parker doesn't score a lot = same type of player as Shane Larkin

Parker can't win on here, face it.

True dat. Ya know, a lot of part time bandwagoners here actually think the Spurs franchise started back in 1997 because that's when they climbed aboard. However, the franchise has actually been in existence since 1968.

Since duncan was drafted worst Spurs season 61% season 09-10 in then you have 11 seasons >= 70%, best season 76% average around 70% which is crazy when you think about it

BTW I was curious who was the best ball hog on the team (only checked Big3 and Kawhi):

With 20 or more FGA (because it's a round number unlike 18).

    Tony Parker 105-45 = 70%
    Kawhi Leonard 2-1 = 66.7%
    Manu Ginobili 19-11 = 63.3%
    Tim Duncan 179-125 = 58.9%

wow, Manu only 30 games with 20 FGA or more? That's crazy. I would've bet he had more.

For reference Spurs are globally a 70% winning franchise

Since Spurs signed kawhi, Spurs lost 40% of the time when Kawhi took at least 18 FGAs (15 games 6 losses and 9 wins). It seems this Heroballing (fortunately not that frequent yet) takes the rest of the team out of the games...

It's only 15 games so no big deal but now Kawhi is Spurs best player and his share on the offense is gonna increase, we will see much more of those +18 FGAs games. Is it something to be worried about tbh ?

Parker, in his prime, found a way to logg a 80% winrate by involving his teammates and giving assists. He maybe should help Kawhi finding the good balance...

On a side note, too bad Tony is now past his prime... imagine both playing together on their prime tbh
Sorry I did not digg back in 1968... Too bad that would be so relevant for this particular discussion
I hear ya. It's only relevant because you said it. Maybe if you would have specified "the Duncan era"

Kawhi with only 3 games with 20+ FGA? What a selfish prick.

Now I understand the Kobe comparison.
