The guy is not ready for prime time minutes, but he isn't far off either.

I could see him spelling Tim for longer periods of time and for guys like West and LM he offers the opportunity for them to play the PF and not center spot.

No matter what, you can't teach 7'4, he is huge and demands attention down low when he gets the ball. If he can rebound and defend he will be a godsend for this team. We don't need him to score but we do need the other things.

My first impression of him was he was the second coming of George Muresan, but he is much more skilled than George ever was.

I realize its early days with Boban, but we really should remember that he's been a pro for a while and was considered the best center in Europe. New system, new teammates and new league, I get that--- but we ought to consider the possible/probable upside.

I'd like to see more of him with LMA.

Yup. Having his rebounding skills on the second unit can help us sustain leads against teams like the Thunder.

At his height and weight and bc other teams play undersized guys at the 5, Boban can score. The problem is that he can't defend in space. Teams will pick and roll us to death. He can get spot minutes, but I doubt he'll ever get into the regular rotation.

    You can't double a natural-born passer.

Boban is the best Euro passing big man since Arvydas.

But the NBA never saw Arvydas in his prime.

    Get ready Amerika!!

I'm pumped he is on our team. He is one of the 10 biggest players in history I think and not a weak POS like the Shawn Bradley and George Muresan's etc where a gust of wind can blow them over. I think he can be a very good 4th or 5th big and will clearly intimidate other teams second units around the rim defensively and get easy dunks offensively. He really is a monster of a man and ill be excited to see him get court time when it matters or against a starter.

    also from PtR ...

Boban "quickly amassed 6 points, 5 boards, an assist and 2 TOs in just 4:34 minutes of play, racking up an impressive 66% Usage Rate and a team high 49.5 Net Rating. The implication is clear: if Boban plays 40 minutes a night, he will average 53 points, 44 boards, 9 assists and 18 turnovers and hold opponents under 50 points for the night."

Maybe Pop will figure a way to put him in with a zone defense.
