With a bit of luck Westbrook will be next.
I expect the Rockets are going to get it together eventually...but even a 10 game lull can mean the difference between a top seed and scrapping to make the playoffs in the loaded West.
Spurs had a stretch where they lost 9 out of 13 games last season, and the rest of the season was a damn Bataan Death March to climb back into the standings...only to get dumped from 3rd to 6th in the final game of the season.

They are not beating OKC. They'll be 0–4 after tonight. At this rate, McHale will be gone by Thanksgiving.
Thinking the same thing, but I love McHale in Houston, just like I loved Brooks in OkC.
Just think, McHale's Rockets did something last year that Pop's Spurs couldn't, beat LAC.
Pop's Spurs are 1 year and change from winning a 'ship. Please stop.![]()
LAC were definitely better than the Spurs last year. Spurs were struggling to get a good lead against the Clips even in the few games where Paul/Blake struggled up until halftime and when Paul was out for 10-15 minutes during Game 7.
One of the most frustrating postseason series as a Spurs fan of 20 years.
This. No way I want a competent coach in Houston. Ah, the good old days when the Clippers, Warriors and Thunder all had idiot coaches...
They look awful so far. The lawson-harden tandem is the worst defensive backcourt starting duo in the entire league. Only way it could be worse is if you replaced Lawson with Calderon. John Goodman could take em off the dribble it seems
Yeah, i don't want Thibs in Houston..Conference divide needs to be balanced by having elite coaches and players go or stay East..That's why i would love for Durant to bolt to Wizards..The West is hard enough while Lebron keeps getting free rides to NBA Finals..
literally McHale's one accomplishment
trading a series win against the Clips for 18 years of sustained contender status and five les
You mean Josh Smith?
That wasn't the point. McHale isn't a great coach but when you have a mental midget standing tall at the 5 and two ball dominant guards at the 1 and 2 in your starting lineup, you're destined to struggle offensively. The Roc's woes are only exacerbated by the fact that last year's MVP runner up can't knock down open shots (12-54 - 2 pointers , 3-32 - 3 pointers). Neither Lawson or Harden play a lick of defense so its almost counterproductive to have them both on the court at the same time. Ty Lawson should be coming off the bench. D-Howard, while highly overrated offensively, can be a defensive monster when he wants to be but most of the time, he's just a cancerous presence.
The point was you compared the Spurs and rockets with some stupid analogy to make the Spurs look bad. That ain't working tbh.
I didn't make the Spurs look bad. They did that all by themselves.
Take your analytical style of basketball, Darryl Morey, and shove it
I can't really take you serious from all your takes.![]()
Did I make Leonard shoot 15-54 in the final 3 games of the series? Did I make Leonard look like a deer in headlights on defense? Did I make Kawhi look like Matt Barnes ? Did I make Patty Mills look like Betty White trying to guard Austin Rivers? Did I make Parker slow, fat and unathletic? Did I bench Ginobili in the 4th quarter of game 7? Did I inspire you to become an engineer?
Cavs still ringless
This happens after Howard compared himself to Jordan & Mandela.
'
Clippers still do
