Jochin Phoenix plays Cash (young). I think that will be weird, but he is a good actor, so maybe he can pull it off.

Old School stuff. Nice. You going to the Pat Green concert in October??
naaa...probably not...my October calendar is filling pretty fast.
Ahh, come on this isn't just any concert! Have you seen him live before? Besides, it's at the end of the month- Oct. 29th. Kevin Fowler and Shooter Jennings will be there as well. Shooter's great live too.
Gretchen Wilson sucks I don't know if she is from Texas, but she is the worst thing to hit country than that woman singing the Dodge song.
haha i like the dodge song
I liked it, till that girl butched it.
i'm gonna look for it just for you.![]()
Hey Jim, have you heard The Houston Kid album or Fate's Right Hand? Rodney has said that his best writing are his most recent albums- The Houston Kid, Fate's Right Hand, and The Outsider.
I dod not have them but I like the le track, Fates Right Han and Still learning to Fly and on The Houston Kid, I really liked his rendition of I Walk the Line with Johnny Cash in colaboration on the song...it was awesome.

This is what I get for going to a family reunion today instead of sitting in front of the damn computer!
Some people say Reckless Kelly is better than Cross Canadian Ragweed. I wonder why Ragweed got more popular than Reckless did. Have you seen both live Goliad? Which one is better you think?
Poor Alamo
I've been the world's biggest RK fan since I first heard them on Dudley and Bob back in 97 before Millican was released. I've seen them more times than I can count and had the pleasure of partying with the guys on numerous occasions. They are some of the coolest people on the planet.
I dig CCR too, but nowhere near as much as I love RK. The cover they did of Crazy Eddie's Last Hurrah on their Live at Billy Bob's CD was awesome.
"This is a song about killin' a woman because she pisses you off...Ya gotta do it!" -- Cody Canada
, then I'm missing out. Where does RK play at usually? Sounds like I need to check them out. By the by, Cody Canada is a stud.

I HIGHLY recommend Gruene Hall. It is the ultimate RK venue, but any RK show is a good RK show.
Pat Green went Nashville and most of his new stuff pales in comparison to his old songs. Songs like "Ruby's Two Sad Daughters" and "The Ballad OF Arkansas Dave Rutebaugh" are some of his best as well as the cover of Townes Van Zant's "Snowin' On Raton".
Brian Burns is one of my favorites as well. CCR, Jason Boland and The Great Divide fit in the genre, but they are from Oklahoma and not truly "Texas".
Others in my CD rotation:
Macon Greyson
Tracie Lynn
Trish Murphy
1100 Springs
RK
country music sucks ass
fair warning...Gruene Hall is a classic venue but it can be a friggen oven in the summertime...when it is packed for a big show it can get 100+ in there on a hot still night...
How is it George Strait is not Texas Country? The guy was born in Poteet and practically re-invented Texas Cowboy attire.AND George Strait is not considered Texas Country. Once again people not knowing the difference.
Because they are trying to be Texas Country snobbish... if there is such a thing.
George Strait was originally very "Texas Country"... I don't like some of his more recent stuff, though.
I liked the Moe Bandy comment... at least some people aren't newbies.![]()
Well, you got the P part right.
He was born in Pearsall.
This is true. Bring plenty of cash for cold beer!
I'm planning on being there Saturday night since it looks like opening weekend of South Zone Dove Season might be lost to that Rita...
