I find the wishing injury and calling players re ed or autistic, and overall hating players on your own team to be way worse then this.

but it's not like they had a stronger fanbase than the Spurs until they were in contention.
The ? Oracle has ALWAYS been packed. They sell out games on the regular with 30 win teams.

When I lived in SA I used to go to Hemisfair for the Spurs all the time and after the game we would walk across the street to the riverwalk and have a few at Gambits or wherever to celebrate victories. It was bad enough when they made the Spurs play in the giant barn. Later on Im sure they had intentions of improving the neighborhood but they built the new Spurs place in from what I remember was the absolute holiest part of SA. Maybe in a few years they will rebuild downtown where it ought to be.

Spurs games during the week are usually less attended obviously.
Weekend games are always packed and get decently loud.
The playoff games are absolutely packed and get very loud, really great atmosphere.

I think regular season games aren't quite as attended because fans are so used to the Spurs making they playoffs that they think "ehh its just regular season".
As far as other arenas being much more packed, louder, etc, that is bull with maybe the exception of OKC and GSW.
I can tell most of you haven't been to a game there, I have been to probably 10-15 nba arenas and can tell you AT&T center is one of the loudest and best environments to watch a game.

    Great points, tbh.

First season back in SA since I was a kid. I'd forgotten how loud the AT&T Center could get.

Yea, I've lived in the city for a few years now. Actually moved here before the 2014 season, so was pretty freaking awesome that they won it all during my first year in the city. Went to about 7 playoff games that year. Went to game 6 against the Clips last year, place was so damn loud then. Game 7 in 2014 was awesome to because of the pissed off mavs fans in the building.

Strange that Spurs stopped taking in new season ticket holders this year. They claimed record high of season tickets sold this year but all the games have had plenty of empty seats, including opening night vs Nets.
They sold out their season tickets. There's now a waiting list for next year.

It's worrisome. If SA can't support this team, what happens when the decline starts?

You can't buy any season tickets anywhere in the arena...it is much more sold out than anytime in history.
