Wiz have been starting a small ball lineup in Nene's absence. Boban won't start against that. Diaw or West much more likely.
Their starting small has nothing to do with Nene's absence. It has to do with them wanting to play with a stretch four at all times, which is why they've attempted to shoehorn Humphries into one and why they acquired a player who was shoehorned into one last season, in Dudley. Nene is their backup center now.

Aldridge/West has been the least used combination among the four primary bigs. Maybe a good chance to give them some court time together while still having Boris as the first big off the bench.
Aldridge and West are probably too similar to work well together as a tandem. Besides, if Duncan is being rested because it's going to be a small ball game, then West at power forward isn't going to be the answer to that; not when Diaw barely has been.

In order to keep Diaw with the bench, I suspect Bonner starts.

    Boban and Ray banished!

As much of a fan favorite as Boban is... Pop I guess getting him over himself?

Ray, uber question mark, particularly when we have Bonner and Butler who are very similar at this point.

Also with spursistan... I wonder about Tim. It didn't seem like the rest was required. Pop experimenting with Lamarcus I guess... Small ball time.
Read the thread again. Boban is active, Duncan is inactive. McCallum is on the Toros.

    - Duncan should be playing. He's well rested as is, there's no need to increase the odds of dropping a game they shouldn't and they should be looking at this as practice for playing big (some) against a small ball team. They play the Pacers on Monday; does he sit out again?

    - I doubt he does, but if he does, they're basically tipping their hand, when it comes to the Warriors and indicating that they don't think they can beat them playing big. Conceding this further underscored the need to upgrade fourth wing.

    - McCallum should be activated over Marjanovic, given the Wizards lack of size, the possibility of another blowout and the lack of a third point guard for such situations.

So Beal AND Hilario are out? That's going to be huge for us, those two were the biggest thorns in our side in that bad loss early on. Wall can't really shoot so TP/Mills can probably afford to go under this time as long as they don't make it a habit

You're right about Nene. I just took the injury report and their last boxscore and made an assumption. Had no idea that he hadn't started any games this year.

    West is starting.
