Listen its a media driven narrative..Tim Duncan doesn't have all the tools or skills pure basketball wise to be better than Kobe.....he can't shoot better he can't defend better he csnnt run faster, he can't jump higher, he has less post moves as a big man, has less mid range game, and his not a vocal leader...so in no way from a basket ball perspective is he on Kobe's level...this is pure math..the media may love him because of his team play and sexual preferences and many fans may feed into that narrative based on their love of team play...it goes back to my OP....theres not a sane fan out there who would prefer Duncan career to Kobe's when put in the context that my OP does....and I never really mentioned his bronze medal...
Again Kobe has the nod of 99% of ALL of the All-time greatest players in NBA history on his side....99% of All of the greatest players this generation and the previous and 99% of every collegiate athelete...and those joining the league today
That is the real measure of a players greatness...you cannot use public ESPN Polls as a validation and then turn around to discredit public Allstsar voting when its covienant for you...
