Lawson is scared to even push the ball. He aint the same since he quit drinking.
his confidence appears shot ... (hopefully) at least he is not pouting like Rondo did in Dallas. Just be a soldier and in the off-season push on out ...

Linking your failure to a career flunky like Lawson because Harden won't let him touch the ball is wasteful, dj. Harden could die tomorrow and Lawson would still disappoint. Lawson being held up as a key to this crisis is a red herring.
You are right the issue is bigger because changing coaches did very little to change things. Lawson is not a winner on this level but has proven to be effective in spurts. Right now you probably could not get pennies on the dollar in trade for a guy who was traded for all of this just last July:

The Nuggets receive a lottery protected first-round pick in 2016 and cash considerations along with Nick Johnson, Kostas Papanikolaou, Pablo Prigioni and Joey Dorsey in the deal that also sends a 2017 second-round pick to Houston.

Lawson is a bust because he is afraid to shoot the ball. He gets the ball and is scared to do anything with it.
Bull ! Even CP3 would be relegated to a spot up 3 shooter with Harden.

Except when Harden isnt on the floor, Lawson still is hesitant to just play. Thats why he has been benched multiple times.

That is why I alluded to his confidence. Harden doesnt play 48 mins. So even when Harden sits Ty never takes advantage ...

This. When he is rolling not even curry matches him because of the fouls he generates. Not saying I wouldnt still take Curry but when harden is on he is getting 3's, racking up assists, getting the other team in foul trouble and in to the penalty. Just needs a good stromg coach and I think thibs would be great for defense/effort I think Harden needs a offensive mind that can sell him on him being even more deadly by giving up the ball more. Like CP3 both generate plenty of offense and are technically efficient but because they both dominate the ball It hurts them sometimes as well especially against good defensive teams like the Spurs.
    lol no.

There's absolutely no way the Rockets should keep Dwight, long-term..he's already declining, and considering that he has a very low skill-level, he's going to continue deteriorating at a fast pace(not to mention he's injury prone, nowadays)..

Harden's style of play is toxic, but he's a monster player, tbh..sometimes players need to fail a few times to realize that they need to change their mindset, and/or they need a new coach/system..the Rockets just have a cancerous environment, right now, with too many limited players playing big minutes(Beverley and Brewer, in particular, neither guy should be anything more than an 8th or 9th man), and players not giving enough effort(Ariza, Harden, Lawson, Howard on some nights, etc)..

Hard-ass coaches like Thibs are becoming antiquated in today's league, but some teams really require it IMO..the Rockets are one of those teams..
10/10 post. Agree on all points. If they could sucker some Star hungry team into giving up a young star or great draft picks for Howard it would be an underrated steal now and a robbery 3 years from now. Even if they could swap Howard for Cousins... or someone from Philly with lots of upside, or any young star in the East, thats a massive success by Houston.

You missed the part where I said I still prefer Steph. But if you watch Harden when he is on he causes more distress because not only can he rain 3's and drive like steph he can post up and he draws way more fouls with his flopping. He is more streaky than steph but when he is on he is probably the most complete offensive player in the game. Still think steph is better but you cannot put steph on the block and he doesnt generate nearly as many fouls or FTA's .

I didnt. An "on" Curry is unguardable because he can kill you from 40 ft, put too much of your attention to him and he's unselfish unlike harden then the whole golden gay worriers will kill you.

Different argument. Curry is "on" more than Harden so that is one of the many reasons I take Curry over Harden. My point was that Harden at his best is not only unguardable when his "on" but he hurts your defense with all his flopping and exaggeration on contact. As great as steph is that is one place in addition to punishing smaller guards on the block that Curry just doesnt do ...and so although I do value Curry's 3's and gravitational pull more than Harden's iso dribble show ...when Harden is on he hurts you in more ways individually than Curry and he is actually a great passer ...again remember the backdoor sweep? that is the Harden I am speaking of ...

Yeah it's not like curry doesn't make his team an all time great team with his passing. I remember it alright, got benched for brewer when they made a run in game 6. Phail
