Last game of the regular season tonight as we take on a 42-39 Mavs squad. Spurs will be sending their B and C team to Dallas as most of the starters won't even make the trip. If we lose this game, we play the Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs, so I think it's safe to say we're going to tank this one. But most importantly, this game signifies the end of the long, drawn-out regular season, and means that meaningful basketball starts in a few days, and I think we're all beyond ready for that. So let's get it.

Yeah, Green doesn't have the mileage of the big three, Diaw or West, nor is he tasked with carrying the workload the new two are, which is why him and Mills get the least rest of the top nine. Also, they're both still relatively young and in this case, at least eight active players are required to play.

Last game of the season isn't about rest, it's about injuries. There's 2-3 days off between the end of the regular season and the start of the playoffs. That, along with the fact that there will be another customary 2-3 days off after game 2, possibly another 2 days off after game 4 as the 1st round usually drags on for 2.5 weeks, nobody actually needs to sit for tonight's tilt vs the Mavs. I just found it strikingly odd that Danny is no longer considered indispensable.

True, but by that logic, Mills and Diaw (conditioning, I know; but still) shouldn't be playing either, only they can't all sit, because you need at least 8 active players.
