Rockets by 50 each game. Maybe 60 in one game in honour of Kirb.

I will say the Rockets last game in Oakland was surprisingly close. Except one game, the conference finals last year was closer than I expected and the Rockets could have pulled the upset if a few plays go differently in Oakland in the first couple of games.

Don't sleep on the Clipps in round 2.
Stop it. Clips talk to much to pull an upset ...
They were part of what fueled the 73 ..doc and his big mouth.

If the Clips pulled it off, would it be one of the largest NBA upsets ever?

They dont have to win. I just want them to expose all the GS gets away with, so in this case, talking too much is perfect.

With that said, I still think they have a chance.

Rockets are covering every game in this series. Not even drunk but I think they're the 7th best team in the NBA that's being valued as a normal 8th seeded team

Harden is going to set playoff records for points, turnovers, usage rate, 3PA, FT rate for a 5-game series

If they actually play hard, only the Spurs and Warriors are clearly better. The problem is...actually playing hard.

They definitely had the talent to be right there with LAC and OKC from the beginning of the year

Here are some ways the Rockets can beat the Warriors:

-First, play hard. You'd think that'd go without saying but apparently not.

-Play a matchup zone. Deny penetration but more importantly never leave the 3-point line open.

-Or they can always keep the best Warriors players covered (Steph Curry double covered) and leave one open, perhaps Draymond Green.

-Get some of the Warriors in early foul trouble, especially Steph Curry.

-Run, run, run. Make the Warriors tired. Maybe their legs get heavier and it'll be harder for them to hit their shots.

Unlike the typical 8-seed, the Rockets actually have some components to be able to make some noise. It's essentially the same roster that made the WCF last year and actually could have beaten the Warriors if a few plays go differently in a couple games.

The only way they can beat the Warriors is if Beverley works his magic on Curry like he did Westbrook 2013.

That one but they also played admirably in Game 1. I was expecting a bloodbath the entire series because I thought they were just getting by on their talent but the only game they were blugeoned was Game 3. In Oakland, they had a chance to win every game in the fourth quarter and the first two into the final minute. And in their 123-110 loss this year, again, I was pleasently surprised in how good of a chance they had to win. Oracle is arguably the toughest arena to win at in the NBA yet it doesn't seem to phase the Rockets. Heck, the Rockets once won 15 straight games in Oracle despite rarely fielding an elite team around the turn of the century, even if the Warriors were down.

Now, owner Leslie Alexander, who has largely stayed out of the way in recent years, says he wants to have more of a say in things.
    From ESPN.com’s Calvin Watkins:
“I think I will change a little bit,” Alexander said after the Rockets’ practice Friday in preparation for Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series against Golden State. “More scrutiny and what they’re doing. I was thinking about doing it anyway but after this season, definitely.”

Hopefully that just means a metaphorical mean mug to show his employees he means business and not that he's not going to start micromanaging, which would only make things worse.

Since GS forces all teams (minus the Spurs) into a jump shooting contest, and James Harden is the second leading scorer in the league and play Curry's jump shooting game, Rockets have a chance at this is in six or seven.

It's what happened to Dallas in 2007. At 67-15 they came out to jump shoot. Golden State at 42-40 did too and won the series.

Jump shooting and no defense, does not win championships.

Im actually looking forward to this series. Would like to see Howard dominate down low. Beverly is a pesky defender.
