Nah, a couple said they like Zeke, but no one called Dallas taking him. In fact, everyone pretty much seemed to agree that no way Dallas takes him at 4 even though people liked him as a player.

Well, Dallas has Romo, Dez & Elliott and a great o-line. If healthy that offense should be something dangerous. I still think they can use a truly talented legit 2nd WR, but we will see.

Elliott is the best back to enter the draft in years, he is the total package and will make an instant impact, a dramatic one. Now there's Romo in third and two. They have a stud to protect a lead and run out the clock, and he can catch and block.A chain mover.

Might be the pick of the draft.

The last RB I bragged on won the Heisman. Do you ever get anything right?

Last time we drafted a good RB in the first round was 1990. Before that? 1977. 26 years later, we're crossing our fingers. I would have preferred Ramsey, but I would love to be wrong.

there's some good DT's in there too though, we'll see. Maybe they can get Ridgeway in the 3rd

Lol Cowboys blowing their load on a skill position that's a dime a dozen.

I'd strongly consider it if the teams doctors say he'll play week 1. I like billings and ogba too, though. There are some good d lineman available still.

Not crazy about the Zeke pick tbh. Like the player a lot, but unless he's Adrian Peterson, taking a RB in the top 4 is just not smart imo. But whatever, he's a Cowboy now so I hope he tears it up and I'm sure he'll be great behind that OL.

Absolutely have to go DL with our next pick though imo. A'Shawn Robinson, Emmanuel Ogbah, or Noah Spence (unlikely) should be the pick. Myles Jack's knee must be a lot worse than initially believed if this many teams are passing on him.

Kevin Dodd is another option. He worries me though cause he's a one-year wonder.

Also wouldn't be completely shocked if we went CB, but we really need DL help in a bad way.

CBS Sports gave the Cowboys a D grade for picking Zeke, the worst grade of the first round. Not that it means anything, js.

Shouldn't be a problem to pick up a few in the next few rounds.

Look at the Cowboys when they had...

    Don Perkins
    Calvin Hill
    Tony Dorsett
    Emmitt Smith

....then look at them without that stud RB.

Elliott is a fantastic player, a special athlete as we will be seeing come Sept, He will walk in and make an instant impact. There is no other back in the draft remotely close to his skill set.

    Great pick~~~~~

How do you feel about the Elliott pick? Both in terms of value & how he impacts them regardless of draft spot?

i'm okay with it. it was either him or ramsey and as we got closer to the draft, the elliott buzz got louder. most of the mocks had him going to us at 4 or to the giants...i heard baltimore was trying to trade up to snag him as well.

he is by far the best back in the draft and has all the tools needed to thrive in this offense. if we commit to the run like we did 2 years ago, he will become an impact player from day 1.
