blame our max player...
I don't get the narrative of SA not attacking. They dominated the points in the paint. They didn't settle, they were inside and killing it. No calls.
Spurs make shots and/or rebound better then it doesn't matter, but don't paint a false picture.
Almost as bad as claiming 5 championships that happened in Minnesota. Now that's some Hollywood assness.
Let it all out buddy, I'll be your shoulder to cry on tonight.
They did not initiate contact with majority of those paint shots. They weren't contact plays. They weren't "oh , we need a bucket now and refs are blowing their whistles, go in the paint and make something happen" baskets. You can score in the paint and still be playing passively overall.
Spurs went up 62-49 and the refs went into game management mode, slowing the game down. Refs not calling that foul at the end iced the game for the Thunder. Refs don't get a pass no matter how much the Spurs f'd up.
Bull TBH..They were banging down low but because it was SA they didn't get the calls. There was the same amount of contact on most plays but not being called.
I have absolutely no problem with the calls OKC got. I have a serious problem with a team banging inside not getting the same calls.
We got jewed by the refs as brutally as we've ever seen but that's still no excuse for Kawhi not attacking the paint every time instead of taking those whack ass jumpers
Or Kawhi passing to Parker with 4 seconds left on the shot clock
Or kawhi not getting open on the final ran play of the game
We didn't attack the paint when it mattered.
The last foul is the most unbelievable of all.....OKC has the ball, they know Spurs are going to foul to have any chance. Spurs know they have to foul. Both teams know they are going to foul. Every fan in the arena knows Spurs have to foul. Everyone watching on TV knows Spurs are going to foul. .....Kahwi fouls Westbrook and the call is not made! Then he is allowed to go lay it in......Then.....we get the foul call to put the game away! That is ridiculous! Any other game, the whistle is blown right away because everybody in the world knows they HAVE TO FOUL!!!!
When you are missing because you are getting banged you have to adjust to try and get different looks. It's chicken and the egg.
The refs started calling it tight both ways towards the end of the 3rd. That's when LaMarcus kept getting FT's and we hadn't actually sunk a FG for like 10 straight attempts.
When the refs dialed in that tight calling, Kawhi should have attacked every time. Instead he goes the majority of the 4th without even shooting the ball.
That the NBA way of saying YOU WE DECIDE WHO WINS.
There is no ¨They must/should blabla¨ You have already said we were killed by the refs so everything else is pure BS speculation, yes he could attack the rim/shoot and still get no calls, Spurs were ed even in the last plays whats the point of your pointless point?
Pop won't do it.
To say they were ed all game is ignorant. They started calling fouls in our favor deep into the 3rd.
To continue to take jump shots after that point is a failure on the part of the Spurs.
Try to keep up.
Every quarter, the spurs had a foul in less than a minute. Once again they are in the penalty a big chunk of the game. The third quarter was an abortion for the officials. Sickening that this same happens again just like 4 years ago. It's really really poor, inconsistent officiating.
The Spurs deserved a little more respect, but got none. You would think we were the Washington Bullets out there tonight. Putrid.
Refs were bad, but they're usually bad. They are a constant, they are baked into the game plan and baked into expectations. They don't vary.
Pop is the one who screwed the game over. No ref crew has ever or will ever screw the Spurs over more than Pop's bad decisions
You said it, try to keep up.
Yes but regardless of that horrendous early 3rd quarter ref job, we were still leading and had the ability to win this game. That's on us.
Did you even watch
Agreed, the way Parker got 4 fouls so early was alarming and those ghost fouls were so stupid.
I dont get how a team has won 5 championships playing against the opposing team and the refs, anyway once Manu retires I wont be following so much the NBA too much dumb going on.
Those were the fouls called. Many of the Spurs "fouls" were not fouls at all and a lot of fouls by OKC were never called. I've never seen a team get more mileage out of the refs than the Durant/Westbrook Thunder. It's borderline embarrassing for the refs because it is so obvious.
This....
Wrong, if you have an 11 point lead or a 50 point lead you can suck all you want refs dont have the right to take your advantage away in no ing way.
And on the other hand if you suck or you are losing refs SHOULDNT HELP THE TEAM IN ANY WAY.
Officializing is about fair game, not about giving one team advantages and the other must do extra things to get the victory.
Yeah, its on the refs too, but too many mistakes by the Spurs, plus Kawhi is the beta of the betas not asking for the last shot and lettin Tony decide the game on jumpers, same goes to LMA.
And i dont want to start on Pop, i am still figuring out, why when we have the ball down one with 30 seconds left he doesnt call a timeout, second time in the series that happens.
I guess it´s wake up or go home.
