And it looks stupid. But I guess the NBA is banking on their fans being as stupid as soccer fans. I can see that, tbh.

Except that in soccer, you don't have commercials during the game so advertisement needs to be added somewhere.
It's so easy when you take the bus.
I just think the average NBA fan is a dumb ass who will accept this all the same. Message board posters like you are the .01 percent. I could be wrong. I even hope I'm wrong; but I think the NBA is committed to trying this experiment for a few years even if it means taking an initial hit.
The NBA did this in the D-League (their guinea pig for all these things). They apparently feel confident about this strategy.
I could get with ads from San Antonio-based companies like these.
So these three along with HEB and Fuddruckers would be acceptable.
Or Espurs.
yeah they blew that already.
This thread has potential, tbh.....![]()
We've grown used to ads on soccer jerseys. Male American jerseys have always been sacred, but I'm fine with it as long as the ad is small like the Sixers' one and doesn't dominate the jersey. Would hurt the brand.
Would also be great if they keep the ad off the jerseys during the playoffs.
Funny thread, but let's be serious...
People getting upset about a small patch or two on jerseys really need better things to worry about. Talk about first world problems.
Would it be better without it? Probably.
But the NBA is a business and money makes the world go around, so we might as well get used to it.
As long as we aren't the the San Antonio Tissots....I've got better things to worry about. And I really don't have that much to worry about, tbh.
gotta start somewhere...
After 2 games you won't notice anymore. Although don't be surprised if in 20 years the Spurs logo is the one that's 3x1
garbage
