What does that have to do with what I posted? I've always believed that the ty candidate of your ty party will beat the ty candidate of my ty party. Although I'd say Trump has a legit chance now if he plays his cards right (which is probably impossible for him to do).At the end of the day:

Anyway, the point was the Dem convention is shaping up to be great entertainment....I might actually watch some of it (unlike the repub convention).

How reasonable of them. Bernie partially did this to himself. His original endorsement of Hillary looked half-hearted and ridiculous -- especially the part where he started counting the number of delegates he had won at her event... with her right next to him starring on in disbelief.

It's not exactly the same situation. When Bush was on his way out the United States was pretty much burnt on all fronts and the country was sinking faster than Bush's approval ratings. His name was toxic and no one wanted to campaign with him because he was a death sentence to any Republican. At this point Obama is completely the opposite. His approval ratings are high and most Democrats are latching on to him. It will take something catastrophic to put Obama in Bush's league on his way out the door. Without all of these self-inflicted wounds this election should have been very easy for Hillary but the last month the narrative has been in Trump's favor thanks to the gaffs and fear mongering. Per usual, the American people are scared of their own shadows so the Doomsday talk tends to work.
If Trump can't win with Russian hackers on his side....
