As a rapper, he was good, but not great IMO..however, he's the biggest and most influential cultural icon in rap history, tbh..despite becoming a mainstream celebrity, he remained outspoken about issues that plagued the Black community, and did it in an intelligent way, unlike a clown like Kanye..

I wish he was still alive today so we could get him on a track with Drake..would be like Jordan vs. Lebron, Ali vs. Tyson type ..

    Favorite Pac track:
    Drake

Now think, what happens when young black kids hear this stupid ?

How about some reality and cool the hero worship. Then we hear people...."why do blacks get treated like they do by the cops".....it should be obvious.

Nobody here is as into black music like I am, I do start at the beginnings of it all. But the we see from some of these idiot rappers is ridiculous and just bad.
You kids dude...shut the up..you should be in jail anyway....PAC was more of a man than you will ever be ya ing river kiddie lover

    Bottom line is this...

Tupac showing young blacks that (young) sex, drugs, violence is really really cool and everyone should try it is not good. He didn't know how impressionable young kids are? Or worst yet, he knew but just didn't care.

What was his target audience, yep, young black kids. Most coming from one parent homes, most without jobs, most hanging on streets looking for trouble. Oh yes, toss some.... THE POLICE....out there, that helps.

    Guy was a ing idiot.

    This is real talent.

Again what was in Hitlers CD case what was he listening too?

There would be no Drake if PAC was alive...PACs death opened up the market on all the bull rap artists today...them s Master P and Lil Wayne and the Hotboys and all that would have never made it to mainstream had PAC been alive..hence no Drake... Just keeping it real since you don't realize how the works...PAC was suppressing the market by his fame....had he lived there would have been a different set of rappers / character's on the scene....his death had a domino effect on the type of music produced ......

He was another sellout who took it up the ass just like 90% of today's trap music. He glorified materialism and reaped his reward. Btw who did he battle to become the greatest? He would have been squashed by any above average East Coast MC from the 90's imo

Actually, I think Notorious B.I.G opened those doors, Pac showed him how but he was really the first to make hardcore records with club/chart records (One More Chance (remix), Hypnotize, Big Poppa, etc.

I think that was a soundtrack track that came out before he died (or was atleast completed before he died) one of my favorite 2pac tracks. I prefer the more serious tracks to the party ones though. Holla If you Here Me was the first time 2pac made a truly great song, you don't normally here that type of raw anger and passion on a track.

Plenty of people obviously care since they're still remembering a man and his work 2 decades after his death.

Your morbidly obese ass could have a stroke tomorrow and no one would care or remember you one week later. It's like you never existed. Such his life, old man.

Dude, I'm the guy who can show you black music roots as far back as it goes, ok? This rap is ing stupid, got it?

Selling.... THE POLICE.....says it all. How ing dumb does it get? THEN..."why do the cops pick on blacks..?"

    School in session.

the problem here is the fact that what you like isn't for everyone and yet you believe it to be. you don't like 2pac? move the on old man, go to some thread and reply with more useless bs track & field crap or post more old music and act like you're the creme de la creme of knowledge. out of here.

btw, some of your most beloved jazz musicians were also dope fiends. what message were they sending? if you think about it, the only role models there should be in a kids like are his/her parents and relatives. looking up to celebs and whatnot. i just like good music and 2pac was one of the realest around.

Are ya just not paying attention? I like it all, ok?

    prewar/postwar blues
    jazz
    reggae
    country
    some punk
    some rap
    some hip hop
    soul
    R&B
    rock & roll
    alternative

...ok? What I don't like is some dumb ass telling little kids.... THE POLICE. How damn stupid can a guy be? He doesn't know his main audience is young black boys? Do they really need to be told to.... THE POLICE....answer that quesion. This ain't music, this is .

Dude, my music library is stunning, as is my knowledge of music, I know when I hear it, got it?

There are none of you little rap fans who can talk black music on my level, trust me. Tupac sang a lot of trash.

Way too much of this kind of thing out there, why?

I grew up poor, never needed to carry a gun or peddle drugs or hang out on the streets. And if I'd tried that my dad would have kicked my ass. A dad something most these thugs know nothing about and that is the problem,
