If the defense hedges and the ball handler doesn't go strongside or if the defender goes under/over the screen enough then the answer is not to just stand there. You cannot move and make contact either.

He's not even the worst screen setter on the team, that distinction belongs to Aldridge.
I know Dedmon's incorrectly listed as 7-0, but at 6-10 barefoot, he isn't even that in shoes. You wouldn't call someone 5-10 a "6-footer", so why would you do the equivalent with someone a foot taller? I see this all the time when people refer to tall basketball players and it doesn't make any sense.
Boban "The Giant" Marjanovic was a much worse screener.
