^ Hmm okay....so the sentiment on how firmly entrenched the Cowboys are locally may cement any hope of landing a football team.

I wouldn't argue against it either, speaking as someone who despite only been to SA a handful of times, I couldn't shift my rooting to another NBA team, local or not.

I'm sure there also are tons of people here that wouldn't mind supporting two football teams. Plus, even though I wouldn't root for a SA team, I would still buy tickets and go to games (even ones not against Dallas)

I'm a cowboys fan but I'd easily switch allegiances and support an SA team.

They insulted admin and then threatened to take legal action against Spurstalk (yeah, it was beyond idiotic), among other things.

The last straw was when they found someone on Facebook they thought was chump, and ended up harassing him to the point where he threatened legal action, even after repeated attempts to point out that they had the wrong person in the first place.

Peripherally speaking I'm very interested to know how close (or far) San Antonio is from adding an NFL, MLB, or NHL franchise.

It'd be nice to be able to follow another pro sport, and nothing builds loyalty than hitching your wagon to a partner of a favorite team.

NHL is the most intriguing: the league is now imbalanced, there's only one other team in the state, and the stadium partnership with the Spurs would be mutually beneficial, particularly if a new stadium is in the cards in downtown.
