Jimmy Bulter likes kawhi bro. He said is one of the best players in the world even before his explosion. About mid-season last year when he was only averging 20ppg. Harden is a good suspect. George is a sure shot. Dominos is almost a sure shot.
Jimmy Butler & Kawhi are actually buddies; Harden (Dominos bestie) should be added to the list along w/ Dominos/George. Westbrook probably think he's Jordan so I'm assuming he think anyone rated to be as good or better than him is overrated.
Gaymond has been throwing shade at Kawhi's since he won DPOY but who cares about what a scrub think about Kawhi, same w/ Klay.
Curry probably wants to be cucked by Kawhi & as his wife has a thing for big black strong men.

In fairness, I do think some of the points are valid opinions though not necessarily correct. Kawhi had raw talent coming into the league, good enough to be a low end lottery pick. But he had a broken jump shot, wasn't a good ball handler, and wasn't an out-of-this-world athlete, though he is athletic. People figured his wingspan and large hands would help him become a good to great defender, but thought the hands would prevent him from becoming a great shooter.
But did coming to the Spurs make him a better player? I could see this as a "yes" or "not necessarily." The Spurs are great at developing their talent, so Kawhi worked with Chip and Chad and through the development program, it has helped him to be an MVP-level player, something that no one ever dreamed he could accomplish. That said, Kawhi is a well-known gym rat who has a great work ethic and the singular desire and focus to be the best, so he had good development help, but he took full advantage of it by working his tail off. There are players that are more natural talents that may not have worked as hard as Kawhi, and therefore, don't reach his potential despite having great development opportunities. Also, some teams just don't manage talent well on the court and in game plans and don't have veteran leadership. Kawhi got those things and I'm sure they made a difference, though maybe not the difference of him and say, Otto Porter.
Point is, I can see what David Thorpe is saying. I can agree with him on those points to an extent. But other than that, the alleged hate by Lebron and others is baffling, especially considering that Lebron gets more love and attention than any player in the history of basketball, even MJ.
I just remember when Butler had an off night against the Spurs last year, a reporter asked him if Kawhi's defense bothered him, he said something to the effect that it had nothing to do with it and that only he can stop himself and laughed at the reporter like it was the dumbest thing anyone's ever said to him. I thought of another suspect though, Giannis AnteCOOKOOFORCOCOAPUFFS, tbh.
Naw. There are a few truehoopers that hate the Spurs, but Thorpe is highly positive about the Spurs. He was even surprised and baffled that players were hating on him and he had him as an all star starter (whatever that means as I can't stand the all-star game). I've heard him on Lowe Post and other forums, and I've never heard him say anything negative about the Spurs. Only positive things.
Hope Draymond gets cucked by a mediocre player if he wins DPOY this season just like Noah was when he won.

I hope this starts a stretch of years of rivalry between Spurs / Cavs and Lebron / Kawhi (this one is already on going)... too bad Spurs won't react and say anything because some back and forth between both and the two franchises would be pretty darn good for Kawhi and the NBA
