Woj was on Facebook live and stated that the Wizards also offered their first round pick, which is projected to be a higher pick but Magic probably chose the Rockets because Morey threw Magic a bone in Corey Brewer. Lol.

The Rockets pick is whatever. The real issue is that he Lakers need to tank to reach the bottom of the league so they don't have to move their pick to the 76'ers. It's top 3 protected. Corey Brewer getting big minutes will help them meet their goals. It's a good trade for both teams.

Nope. Magic worked directly with Lou'ss agent who preferred Houston. Brewers salary matches Lou's almost exactly.

You can argue that is still dumb buto it does look good to agents around the league and the Lakers need to do everything they can to turn around perceptions.

Magic and Jeannie said some good things but outside of just straight basketball stuff what I did not hear is that the leaks to Kevin Ding and all infighting is quashed.

The sticks here can make fun of magics tweets or Jeannie's snatch but these mother ers better come with the real Jim nor Mitch is there to blame and I won't blame Rob pelinka either...if we suck the "buck" (wink, wink) stops with Magic.he asked for this no excuses. He has 4 years ...clock starts now.

Hence Kirby can be brought in with his experience.

Nance was a late first rounder ...it's still an asset.
Ah yes the multiple time all-star Nance. Come on dude, this organization is cratering.

Houston now has two of the top 2 bench player in the league.

Not enough to challenge anyone though.
Ignorant take. But that's not new. This is a great move. Brewer is not nearly the threat Williams is, and he'll be even more dangerous surrounded by the Beard and now reigning 3 point champ in Gordon on the floor at the same time. That's deadly small ball. Williams and Gordon on the wings with the Beard's ability to get to the bucket and cave defenses....?

This is a great ing move. You know .

Great move for the Rockets, it was awful to watch Brewer taking three pointers
Harden now has two guards that are better than all of Kawhi's guard teammates combined, tbh.

On a side note: Lebron must be kicking himself seeing that all it took to get a Lou Williams was Corey Brewer and a very late first rounder.
    This exactly.

Good move for both teams, since Houston's 1st doesn't mean much and Corey Brewer is one of the worst players in the NBA..

I think most people aren't aware that Lou Williams might be the worst playoff performer of this generation, though he's absolutely horrendous in the post-season, his style of play(flailing, flopping, etc) doesn't translate, at all..

Allstar games mean little useful players can fail to make the Allstars game. We are talent bereft so any upgrades are valuable. Of course we are making sweeping changes we coming off 4 straight seasons clock was ticking ...and it expired on Jim and Mitch

good pick-up by the Rockets. They're gonna need Lou when Harden does his disappearing and 100 turnovers a game act in the play-offs par par.

    Larry nance is decent

Probably the only young laker that has a defined role and plays within his role. He'd be a great 10th guy for any top 5 team

I'm shocked that somebody actually wanted Corey Brewer. (I know the Lakers got a 1st round pick but still)

Fakeshow going into complete tank mode.
Need to finish 3rd or worse to hang on to not only their 2017 1st rounder but also a 2019 pick.

They would bring back Kirby to solidify the Tank if they could.
No doubt he is serving in an advisory capacity.
