I'm tired of it all. I didn't vote for Obama but I did hope that he would make things better. Surely didn't wish him to up the country. But how often has this ever happened and been an issue? Prior to NC's rule, states didn't have "tough bathroom laws" and people chose whichever restroom they wanted. Comfortable or not in retrospect , you and your daughter have (separately of course) shared restrooms with probably hundreds of transgender folks. But you never noticed and it didn't concern you. This bathroom law stuff is all retrospective hysteria over non existent problems.
If anything a strict sex based bathroom law will make way more awkward for your daughter when some 40 year old who's been living as a man for 25 years, taking hormones, covered in chest hair, etc, with clear appearance of a man is now going to be using the stall next to her.
