If you offer to take her out to a dinner and a movie instead of you two just going to a dinner and movie, then yes.

Most definately. Don't be a cheap ass. It doesn't have to be pricey. Somewhere decent like the aforementioned Chili's.

Any ideas? I'm a shy person and I can't bring myself to ask a girl out. And where shall we go or what should we do?

Also, how do I know they like me?

brother, asking a girl out is easy. getting her to say yes is the hard part.

if you are shy, ask yourself why?

girls/women really appreciate a confident man. i say man, cuz girls/women also appreciate someone that is above boyhood games and knows what the terms honesty and responsibility are.

if you come across as confident (not y or arrogant, but confident, slight difference) she'll jump at the chance at you to take her to dinner and whatever.

the key here is that the whatever has to be something she really likes and that you might have an interest in as well.

you do not want your lady to be bored.

also, on a date, let her do all the talking, you do all the listening.

    be supportive and be nice!

good luck brother. you got this.

only the first date. second date should be a movie and popcorn at your house. not much spending there, and you'll get her in your bedroom.

Not really. Just say the TV room's DVD player is broken, and the only one that works is in your bedroom. You say that you'd bring the DVD player from your room over to the TV room, but all the damn connections and wires will be a pain in the ass to assemble and disassemble. she'll understand.

She would really have to be naive and unexperienced to fall for that one. But, hey you can't blame a guy for trying.

I'd say no. Only things she can choose is her dinner and choice of movie snack. You pick the movie because that'll be the easiest way to show her what kind of personality you have. Usually, a thought provoking movie works, because if the conclusion to the flick leaves a lot of open-ended questions, you can get a convo started after the movie and not just call it a night.
