    Why is Sessions involved in this decision if he has supposedly recused himself from all things related to Russia?

    The administration cites Comey’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation as the reason behind the firing, which makes little sense in its own right,

    but the larger question is this:

    Why is Sessions involved in this decision if he has supposedly recused himself from all things related to Russia?

    Certainly, advising the president to fire the FBI director while he is in the midst of an explosive investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia would be under the umbrella of Sessions’ recusal.Virginia Sen.

    Jeffrey Toobin calls Trump's latest gambit "Nixonian" and a "grotesque abuse of power."

    Toobin went on to say that Comey’s firing while investigations “near” Trump are reminiscent of President Nixon firing Archibald Cox, the special prosecutor in the Watergate investigation.

    “This is something that is not within the American political tradition,” Toobin said. “This is something that is completely outside how American law is supposed to work.”

    I don't see any libs crying over Comey either.

    I see them pointing out the questionable timing and the complete 180 from TrumpCo, and I think doing so is perfectly legitimate and consistent even if the lib perspective is that Comey bungled everything up.
