I like that hater keeps posting. The team needs you, keep pounding that rock.
poor Kawhi, now he's never going to win an MVP, tbh..
This, of course.
Not to that extent. But remember the Heat game when he rested everyone and we almost pulled that one off? Next man up is not new to this organization.
Regular season sure. But this is an elimination playoff game on the road![]()
The Poplovers are funny after last night. This is what the third thread on this?
What exactly does OP think Pop deserves credit for, or how he proved his detractors wrong? Let's review the common complaints of his critics:
1. Simmons needs more run. How's that work out last night?
2. Murray needs more run. How'd the kid do? Oh, 11-10-5 with two steals and a block, and only one turnover?
3. Play Lee less, he can't protect the rim. Lee played the least minutes all series with the game in question.
Pivoting to strategy now, one of the biggest complaints not just this playoffs, but going back to 2015 after Kawhi won Finals MVP, is that Pop ditched the ball movement beautiful game offense to run things through Kawhi. Popsuckers argued that we didn't have the personnel to run this kind of an offense any longer.
While LaMarcus was devastating on the block last night, the Spurs put Houston away in the second and third with... ball movement, beautiful gameesque play.
So, what exactly did Pop prove to his detractors last night other than they were right?
Dont b stupid
Most coaches woulda lost the game had they lost both of their best players
Pop ing clinched a playoff game on the road with a bunch of D leaguers and circus freaks
Sure the Lol kets choked hard but its still the NBa and its still professional basketball

Popovich does not like losing in the playoffs, especially against the offensive mastermind of basketball. In fact, after this 4-2 series win over Houston, Pop is now 5-0 in playoff series against the Italian-American head coach, amassing a 20-6 postseason record versus the now-Rockets maestro.
