Hopefully kawhi feels a lot better after 6 days of rest. No way in pop plays kawhi in game 2. He needs to get that ankle as healthy as possible. Go hard at home and reset the series to best 2 out of 3. If the spurs can't do that then oh well the spurs will be back next year after they get rid of some dead weight. (Gasol)

But more than that, Pop went on an epic rant against Zaza injuring Kawhi, and his history.

yeah, I was about to make a thread on why Pop hasn't come out to defend Kawhi, great stuff by Pop.
You never hear Pop like that... Sheesh. I hope this can some how fire up the guys. They'll likely be down 0-2 come Game 3, but if Kawhi is back, maybe this will light a real spark.

I feel the Spurs were getting better and better throughout these playoffs, I feel they were starting to really gel and play awesome. We were playing Championship level ball, and that is why I'm angry and I think Pop knows/feels that too. Spurs were about to take control of the series and that piece of Zaza took a calculated chance to try and take Kawhi out. They knew he had an ankle injury. That extra step of Zaza's proved that it wasn't a coincidence.
And I also mentioned this earlier about that game against Dallas last season. That one really pissed me off and I thought about that game immediately after this one ended, that game is why I didn't give him a pass last night after taking another look at the play. He definitely tried a calculated move and it paid off for them.

If I knew for sure that we would win it all in 2018, then I'd say shut KL down and let the chips fall where they may. Unfortunately, there are no such guarantees.
