The Celtics are about to be down 40. At home. In the playoffs. Can't even use the quit card for this like Houston, they are just legitimately awful.
Incorrect. Celtics are actually a pretty darn good team. The Cavaliers are just that godly, particularly Lebron.

Are the Cavs this good or is the East just that bad?

They looked pretty pedestrian during the RS. The Spurs handled them pretty easily.

The talent disparity between the two conferences is staggering..Don't think the Dubs would have swept their way through the West if their opponents didn't get decimated by injuries..Guests/Jazz would have both taken a game at least with Nurkic/Hill, Spurs would've won two with a healthy Kawhi.

Don't tell me the east is weak because of Lebron's dominance. The Heat had Lebron + all stars and even them had semi-compe ive series against the Pacers, Bulls and whatnot.

This is just the east at an historically all time low. Straight up trash.
The biggest issue between the 2 conferences is almost all of the elite talent is in the West. In the East it's basically Lebron and then everyone else. His best compe ion is basically 2nd or 3rd tier stars like George, Butler, Thomas, Wall etc. Giannis has some potential though. Even the elite specialist type players are in the west (top defenders Draymond, Gobert and Kawhi).

Lebron takes the RS off so he can be an elite playoff performer until age 40+.

Their best player is 5'9". They aren't good. They got the first seed in the East because they had a good system and coach while the Cavs were sleepwalking, the Wiz were dealing with a new coach/implementing new pieces, and the Raptors were mediocre to begin with. Boston is the literal definition of a regular season team.

It's a bit of both, the Cavs are playing well and the other Eastern teams just don't have the talent to compete. Also doesn't help that the Cavs are an awful matchup for the Celtics.

I think they'll sweep the GSW or win in 5 honestly.

I said it since Feb. Only team who had a shot at the Cavs were the Wiz. Match up wise they challenge the Cavs. The C's never stood a chance. You think taking the 2 seed was not a bit of strategy?

Miami and Chicago swept them in the RS, fwiw. Both teams would be in the playoffs if they hadn't had major injuries throughout the year.

Smh IT quitting. How convenient that he suffers an "injury" after they fall behind by 40.

Celtics have to trade for Butler/PG in the summer..Honestly even 2018 Nets pick + Jaylen Brown +Crowder/Smart would do it..Can't win in this league without an elite wing..

Imagine how Game 5 of Hou-SA would have turned out with LeBron instead of Frauden.
