Lonzo seems to have been on board with the idea, so they both decided to take a shot in the dark and maybe come out on top. I don't think that BBB brand has much of a chance to be more successful than your average knockoff chinese shoe company, but they both seemed to have decided to give it a shot. I say it, the kid wants to gamble with his jumpstart with the #2 pick then I say good luck.

Nah, I doubt Lonzo had a say in it regardless of what his stance on it is. Lavar has neutered those kids. Lonzo has openly said that Lavar chose what college he was going to and that there is "no talking back" in his family.

Yeah, but they still have to figure out the entire chain to make it work. Most companies actually go bankrupt during the time of uncontrolled and sudden growth. They kept paying money to suppliers but can't get the money back quick enough from the retailers/customers.

There is a huge amount of knowledge and expertise to negotiate favourable payment terms to suppliers and from customers, also dealing with returns, distribution channels, lawsuits (trademarks, counterfeits), financing, warehousing, balancing supply and demand signals. Lavar may have figured it all out and I am underestimated him, but this is some extremely complex stuff if the expectations is for him to make profits of hundreds, or even tens of millions a year. Assuming he is selling nothing but $500 pair of shoes, $20M in REVENUE (not profits) would mean that he can figure out 40,000 pair of shoes. Now put in other stuff like cap and slippers and signature versions and shirts, not to mention different sizes for every single thing.

We will see. Starbury flopped horribly, the Ewing shoes didn't fly. Sure all of those shoes are straight out ugly (and the other thing is if BBB will have the type of designers Nike, Under Armour, Reebok and Adidas have), but I seriously doubt of those athletes made as much money as if they signed with Nike.

Those other colors only look "better" because they hide how terrible the shoe looks and how cheap it really is, unlike the white one
