Thanks. Glad to here Horry clarify he was talking about in the post with the 20 times better comment.
Strong leadership also isnt about throwing others under the bus, especially when personal stats were rather crappy. In the end, the hip check will be what horry amounted to with the spurs. Thanks for the service, but you were 5th 6th fiddle im almost every spot he worked.

A man who made millions playing in the NBA comparing it to slavery.....

In 04 people were actually thinking Horry was a plant because he shot so poorly. Pop, Tim, and Manu's fault!
Comparing themselves to slaves is stupid. What they really mean is they consider themselves the proletariat to the owners' bourgeoisie. It's a Marxist argument, which Kayne West actually explained pretty well in one of his radio rants like a decade ago. Essentially, so long as the owners control the means of production (the contracts with the network companies), players don't really get to control their own labor and are thus restricted. No matter how hard Lebron works to make money, he's always going to be someone else even more money, of which he'll only get a cut.

Just like the free agency fights of three-decades ago, the push toward athlete self-awareness and activism is fascinating. I don't think it makes sense for us as fans to sympathize with millionaires using inappropriate analogies, but I also don't think we should dismiss the debate that's going on right now.
Pop's take on ego management is "if they disagree with me, ship em out"
