Do you guys recall that rumour about the Spurs offering the Knicks Kawhi for Porzingis around the time of free agency? I think it was shortly after the Chris Paul trade, so maybe before free agency even started. Do you think there's any truth to it? It said the Spurs were thinking/throwing around the idea of blowing it up and starting over, but then they quickly backed off from that stance.
I don't believe so. Kawhi is such a great player and such a perfect fit in SA in terms of personality that I can't imagine the Spurs trading him straight up for anyone, and probably not even for a king's ransom from another team.

Lol bunch of gullible asses in here. Kawhi ain’t injured. He’s sitting and letting lamarsha make the all star game to appease his selfish ass at ude. Once that box is checked the alpha dog returns to his bidness and starts checkin assholes.

    Porzingis is better than Kawhi.
Other than cheap shots... no one can shut down Kawhi. Porzingis OTOH can be effectively shut down - the few lackluster games he's had this season all have a common denominator - his primary defender was long and played excessively physical with him.

at this point, i'd believe anything from december to shut down for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Kawhi has put up 0 points all season and doesn't even need anyone to defend him, long or not, because he's a glassman and is injured all the time, including quitting on the team during the playoffs last year.
