He has no idea what he's talking about. Going from being an employee in Texas to the ownership side of a business in California gives you a lot of perspective. He doesn't realize the true cost of an employee. Take a $15 per hour employee, add another 2.50 to 4 bucks in payroll and state taxes, EDD, workers comp and then figure in your benefits split and your near or passed 20 per.

People like Boots have no handle on reality and have a strong fear of doing things on their own. We're going to finish a little under 1.6 million in gross. Net?? Almost makes you think it isn't worth it, but there's satisfaction in being your own boss and giving people work.

heads like Boots and the people who think like him have no sense of pride or work ethic and have an over inflated sense of self worth. They think because they exist in a wealthy population they think the people who produce and take the risk of complete loss, financially on a professional and personal level plus sweat equity and time, shouldn't be rewarded for taking that risk and should give everyone an equal piece of their pie simply because they exist. It doesn't work that way.

No. No, no. That's not it. It's a conspiracy to continue to control EVERYONE that isn't rich. It's by design. The Republicans are conspiring against the entire population to keep them down.
You're joking, but who has more money to pay lobbyists?

The tax cut and reform being pushed by the Republicans overwhelming favors the wealthy. Doesn't that say anything to you?

A minimum wage increase is definitely called for. But an increase so that everyone is making middle class money like bouts proposes is complete lunacy. A $15 minimum wage would murder small business in this country, much less a $25 an hour minimum wage.
    Agreed.

An instant bump would be vastly disruptive and harmful. It should be increased at a rate double the rate of inflation until it catches up with where it was in the 90s before they stopped increasing it. This gives the system time to adjust.

Not only would it kill small business, but where do you think those extra dollars would come from to pay all those 52k employees? From the pockets of consumers. The McDonalds dollar menu would become the $10 menu overnight.

And not only does boots recommend that we pay uneducated, unskilled workers a middle class salary... he also wants to cut salaries for people who bave busted their ass for years and years in school, like doctors. So let's just pay everybody the same thing regardless how smart, talented, hard-working, good-looking, etc you are.
How do you account for the marginal propensity to spend? ... save?

Given the velocity of money concept, there is evidence that says the best way to spur growth is to get more money in the hands of poorer people.

"to get more money in the hands of poorer people.'

and spending tax money on infrastructure is a much great stimulus to the economy than tax cuts, which allow the Capitalists to horde their capital rather than spend it.

But the oligarchy gives all about the greater economy, only how much capital they can ac ulate and horde, and of course evade taxes on.

Indeed hyperbole. Honestly, one of the reasons I voted Trump was the promise to eliminate Lobbying, which was a lie, and I find lobbying to be one of the most ridiculous shams in the political world.

And I agree, corporate tax shouldn't be cut. But again, mocking Boot's conspiracy. We can play who has who in whom's pocket, but both sides are just abhorrent. Bailing out failing banks who still paid their executives their executive salaries and tax cuts to giant corporations and so on, it's American politics to not act in the people's best interest.

But people like Boots who think that living in a wealthy society should mean equal wealth distribution, even for minimal skills and on the SMB level is just as farcical.

But are both sides equally sold out? You can't find a Warren-like figure in the GOP.

Dems have to bow to business interests, but aren't 100% run by them.

I just don't buy that both parties are equal in that regard, especially since there is only one party that fights every regulation, no matter how obviously beneficial to consumers and average people.

I didn't say that. I said they're both abhorrent. That's why I really wanted to believe that lobbying would be outlawed/severely cut back, but I was lied to.

What I want from our next President is someone I can believe in and won't break my heart once in office.

So hard-ass conservative, small business capitalists here and their feckless fans LOVE THE SOCIALISM of taxpayers financing the public assistance for their impoverished employees.

Just like BigCorp is totally on corporate welfare.
