The perfect trade would be Giannis for Kawhi...

Both fits for the teams needs..change of scenery for possible awkward situations.

Tatum AND Brown would have to be included as a baseline. Cute that they think it’s an either or situation.

Giannis and 2 first rd picks

Clearly you didn’t see him single handily whoop our Spurs ass at home.

He is avg 28 pts a game. Dude is like a tall Kawhi.

I love the claw , but let’s not talk n crazy.
A tall Kawhi that can't shoot for , maybe.

I'd do Leonard for Irving, Tatum, Brown, and 2 1sts
It would need to be those 3 players for me to do it. I wouldn't trade a top 3 player entering his prime for any less than that if he doesn't ask out.

If he asks out, then I guess it's a different story, but if not, it'd take a lot for me to want to trade him.

You love stat stuffers like Westbrook and Giannis, that are also likely to fizzle out in the playoffs as the leader of their teams because they can't shoot for .

Who gives a about stats. Kawhi is an MVP level player on defense and also offense.

Bull !!!! I went to the Milwaukee vs Spurs game, and Giannis single handily killed the Spurs. He hit 3's, got rebounds, drove and scored, played defense and got blocks/steals. He was BY FAR the best player on the court that night.

Giannis line from last nights win over Philly.......31 pts/18 Reb/ 6 asst

I was at that game, too. Everything you said is true. The guy was a wrecking machine AND he got his in the flow of the game. However, his jumper is still a work in progress, as his stats show. He has shot over 52% of his shots at the rim where he is over 72%. Beyond the arc he is a hair over 30%, inside the paint - 35%, and inside the arc - 40%. In truth, Giannis' game is altogether different from Kawhi's.

Let's see how he does in the playoffs. I'm a shooter myself and am not impressed until I see him start hitting shots in the playoffs before I'll say he's legit. Let's see how he does when defenses focus in on him and how he performs in crunch time.

Basically, my opinion on him is that he's a very gifted person physically. I'm not impressed with his overall skills. Same goes for Westbrook. I'm not impressed with his skills at all.

Giannis had a 30-point game with an incredible 68% TS in Game 5 and a 34-point game with a 59% TS in Game 6 against Toronto last year. I think he can hit shots in the playoffs. The Giannis hate/jealousy on this site is just strange.

Giannis is an explosive young athlete who seems to be steadily improving as a basketball player. However, his game is a sharp contrast to Kawhi's. They really aren't very comparable at all.

What does that tell me? Where they jump shots? Contested jump shots? Wide open shots?

He's a great young player, but I don't believe he's an MVP level player just yet.

He is very young still, but if you cant see the talent I do not know what to say. Personally I think he is in the top 4-5 players in the league right now.

More like the hype around Giannis is way too big for a guy that has yet to be able to raise the play of his team beyond mediocre ball, tbh.

Yeah well, that's exactly my point. When he gets older and starts making his team get double digits wins over 500 then we can start talking about him as a top 4/5 player. Until then slow down with the hype train.

Yeah, there's no way that some people can honestly think that the hype he gets is way too exaggerated for a player that can't shoot and has yet to make it past the first round on the ing Eastern conference.

he's 2nd in the league in scoring and is shooting 55% from the field. his jumpshot doesn't seem to really be hindering him from being effective on that end, so i dont get why you keep going back to that. it would be like saying "people overhype shaq and he can't make a damn free throw to save his life!"

ben simmons has no outside shot and he's having no trouble being effective

HE IS 23!!!! Not many if any have gotten their team that far at that age. If you cannot see where he is and where he is heading, I cant help that. Even Magic wrote an article on Giannis. Says he will lead Milwaukee to a ship one day. He was shooting pretty damned good against the Spurs. Im not talking inside the paint either.

    Carry on.

Magic Johnson, really? You trying to prove your case by claiming Mágico Johnson agrees with you?

Look, I'm not saying the kid isn't special. He is. I just think this talk about him being a top 4/5 player in the World is crazy until he shows something else.

Will he get there? I think he can.
Is he there already? ing no.

BTW, at that age folks like Magic, Duncan and Kawhi had already won finals MVP.

kawhi/magic/duncan's situations are not comparable to giannis at all

MJ didnt win a championship until he was 28. there are all sorts of stupid comparisons to make, devoid of context

Yeah, not that high on Simmons either.

Look, all I'm saying is that until I see him dominating a playoffs series against a good defensive team I can't agree with the top 5 player talk. Is easier to hide flaws in the regular season where 70% of the teams are mediocre to bad and where no team specially plans to stop you. Another thing is to hide those flaws in the playoffs against a good team with it's mind set on stopping you.

And the Shaq comparison is dumb. One was a center and arguably the most dominant player ever and the other is a perimeter player.

Jordan got to the league at age 21, he got the Bulls to the playoffs in all his seasons, got a better record each year and by season 4 he already had made the ECF. Giannis is on season 5 and he has yet to learn to shoot or make it past the first round in the only two times he got there.

Nobody was proclaiming Jordan to be a top 5 player in the World when he was losing on the first round, tbh.
