We don't dictate what happens inside other countries just like Russia and China. We just back countries who do.
MAGA
We voted for Trump, he made it pretty clear he likes the idea of staying out of others mess. So we will characterize this as a Sunni/Shia mess (which it is in basis) that we don't need to be involved in and invoke Black Hawk down. We saved a bunch of Yazidis on a mountain in Iraq for no particular military advantage and was much easier than this because people have already starved in this horrible mess. But that was Obama.
No more Globalism and let's MAGA. Poof, it's all forgiven and forgotten.
Our relationship with Saudi has always been rotten to the core. From way back. But the got Gold faucets now that Trump has visited and he likes authoritarian governments so Saudi fits as a good friend.
And no, we need international help on this and it could happen very quicky. You can't just stop Saudi. You got to go in on the ground and distribute food etc.... to those that can actually be saved. We lose American lives without full security.... bad, bad, look... We need cooperation from all involved and can help. Get China and Russian volunteers on the ground as well.

https://www.apnews.com/f38788a561d74ca78c77cb43612d50daAgain and again over the past two years, a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia and backed by the United States has claimed it won decisive victories that drove al-Qaida militants from their strongholds across Yemen and shattered their ability to attack the West.
Here’s what the victors did not disclose: many of their conquests came without firing a shot.
That’s because the coalition cut secret deals with al-Qaida fighters, paying some to leave key cities and towns and letting others retreat with weapons, equipment and wads of looted cash, an investigation by The Associated Press has found. Hundreds more were recruited to join the coalition itself.
“Elements of the U.S. military are clearly aware that much of what the U.S. is doing in Yemen is aiding AQAP and there is much angst about that,” said Michael Horton, a fellow at the Jamestown Foundation, a U.S. analysis group that tracks terrorism.
“However, supporting the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against what the U.S. views as Iranian expansionism takes priority over battling AQAP and even stabilizing Yemen,” Horton said.

https://www.vox.com/2018/8/9/1767138...ition-pentagonThe war has claimed more than 13,500 lives, with more than 900,000 suffering from cholera. Roughly 20 million Yemenis need humanitarian assistance to meet basic needs — including food and water — out of a prewar population of 28 million.
Ask Canada to call them out because we are not.
I bet that goes over well...
lip service.
the US and the UK should withdraw assistance to the KSA --which won't happen either.

Larison says Pompeo lied to Congress on behalf of the KSA and the UAE to preserve arms sales:
https://www.theamericanconservative....ct-arms-sales/Mike Pompeo’s certification earlier this month that the Saudi coalition was working to reduce harm to civilians in Yemen was an obvious sham. According to a new report in The Wall Street Journal, Pompeo made the decision to lie for the Saudis and Emiratis because he feared it would hurt arms sales:
Mr. Pompeo overruled concerns from most of the State Department specialists involved in the debate who were worried about the rising civilian death toll in Yemen. Those who objected included specialists in the region and in military affairs. He sided with his legislative affairs team after they argued that suspending support could undercut plans to sell more than 120,000 precision-guided missiles to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, according to a classified State Department memo and people familiar with the debate.
Pompeo is a stain on the human history tale. Hes basically a leech that developed through a cancer tumor of society. The world will be a better place once this fat ing piece of dies. Just like Mccain.

Saudi Barbaria
https://www.theamericanconservative....rket-in-yemen/Attacks on food markets like this one are part of the coalition’s systematic campaign to target and destroy Yemen’s food production and distribution. The coalition has made a regular practice of targeting farms, fishing boats, and marketplaces as part of an effort to deprive an already malnourished population of food. There is no possible justification for targeting civilians as they were trying to obtain food from a local market.
Mu sauces tell me Saudi puppet Yemeni president has been obliterated
Them Houtis are no joke tbqh
They have already fired missiles at Riyhad, they are quite capable. They have Iranian arms and continue to get them. It’s perfect for a big “fat” slaughter. It surprises you they are able to kill important people in this conflict? People act like this is a clear one sided slaughter. The Houthis would be gone if it was. At least the civilians would know who to bow to if one group took over. It’s better than starving.
foul
stale cup of tea, look at the timestamp
Trump officially washes his hands on he matter.so much for hope and change
