MI2 was probably the worst one. Been going up ever since, IMO
I haven't seen any of those since MI:2. Planning to catch up based on what I've heard about the last few. I still get a little weirded out watching Tom Cruise.

I would rather see a good movie unless I'm in a mood. The time or two I did see his stuff it was in a run-up to an election and as a matinee; so for me, it was sort of like attending a pep rally.
Would you say you are in his target audience?
Are you the base you say he makes the movies for?
Did he win your heart and mind with his movies?
You said a ticket ID is not required, so you seem to be acknowledging that people are rating it without seeing it. That being the case, why do you care what the audience review is?
I mean, hypothetically speaking, even if the audience score was 10% you'd just say it was because of liberals dragging the rating down. So you seem to have made your mind up about the movie regardless, just like the "base" who is predisposed to like this movie and therefore will rate it positively whether or not it has objective merits as a film.
So you should just go see it.
Why do you insist on ruining every thread this way? You're basically a pariah.
Why don't you just answer the questions?
I'll grant that you admitted to being in the target audience and base since you actually went out and saw it in a theater, so just answer the last one.
Did he win your heart and mind?
it begs to question your insults... you claim we both have no lives outside ST. i beg to differ. i can point to your post count and question your use of time too. how ironic huh?
I explained why. The 74 percent is an indicator that the movie is something the target audience liked. It's significantly high given the likelihood that trolls are artificially reducing the score. My best guess would be that this is a 85-90 percent or better movie otherwise.
You're trying to make a case that I'm mindlessly doing this or that. I've already said I'm familiar with his work. I have a good idea of what the movie is likely going to be like. I dunno why given that that you think it's so important that I go out and see it.
"It begs to question"?
You're absolutely free to claim time-use scoreboard on behalf of someone who has 80% the number of posts in 20% of the tenure. It's dumb, but it's certainly permissible.
yep
imo the last 3 have been the best 3
They're all pretty much great except for MI:2 which is trash. The ending of 1 is stupid but I still liked the movie overall
Here's another way to look at the reviews for it:
Chris, Derptacular, and KW think its good
Most damning critical appraisal I can see tbh
This theory basically assumes that the positive reviews are largely from people who have seen the movie while the negative reviews are largely people who haven't. You acknowledge that partisans one side would attempt to influence the score without seeing the movie, but can't imagine partisans on the other side would do the same thing.
What I'm saying is they're both doing it. A substantial number of the positive and negative ratings for this movie are from people who haven't seen it. You can tell based on the number of reviews. It has over 800 user reviews. By comparison, "The Spy Who Dumped Me," which is showing in 3x as many theaters and has sold 2x as many tickets per theater has a little over 1000.
I assure you that I couldn't possibly care less if you go see it or not. Don't mistake my mockery for interest. You're trying to make a case that I'm mindlessly doing this or that. I've already said I'm familiar with his work. I have a good idea of what the movie is likely going to be like. I dunno why given that that you think it's so important that I go out and see it.
It's simple math Spurmy that you could've done. Whether you suck at simple math or are just hoping I suck at simple math I don't know.
Sure, there are some cons who didn't see the movie who voted it up. But any con who cares that much is going to be predisposed to watch it and give it a good rating anyway. Whereas, liberals trolls are not paying to go watch the movie when they vote it down. 74 percent is basically a min floor and as I said an indicator that the movie hits a high standard for what it is.
If you took 500 liberals and 500 conservatives and forced them to watch the movie would it be 74 percent? It might be 60 percent. But it's obviously stupid to see it that way. I'm sure cartoon movies that get 95 percent is based on the target audience and not gen pop.
I don't know how repeatedly encouraging someone to watch a movie is mockery. It seems to me that you maybe want a review from someone you know![]()
None of us have reviewed the movie. Try reading the thread next time, dip .
"nother level"
how so if i have never seen this movie? jump to conclusions much?
but hey spurtacular we're the conspiracy theorists right? lmao! the hacks are showing their true colors today in just this thread.
just think...the possibility of meeting Dinesh D'Souza fans IRL.
who could possibly resist?
Oh missed that lol.
Youll both see it and like it tho
furiously semen shielding a movie they haven’t seen.
Imagine if they actually liked the movie.
Seems pretty accurate tbh
What a rube to say that.
