They are different players. Kawhi is better defensively, similar in offense (kawhi maybe slightly better),, DD better passer, smarter, and better leader

considering we were held hostage, I am happy with DD. People act like we had way more control over the situation.

Kawhi is a 50/45/92 Stud. A better Iso scorer, a better spacer etc.

    Spurmsfans have really fallen
they're pitiful. Just accept the fact that he moved on. Now they're saying silly to make themselves feel better. Soon we'll hear, "Mills is a better defender than Kawhi.."

At face value the offense between the two is a wash. But when it matters Kawhi is better at imposing his will. On defense it's Kawhi and it's not even close. Especially since Kawhi has a physical edge because he's a genetic freak. With his stature, build, and huge hands; he's a matchup nightmare for anyone on either side of the court.

That being said it is what it is. Spurs fans need to quit living in denial, and try to find a way to think we broke even on the deal. Be happy we got one more Championship before the fallout. Time to move on and build for the future. Hopefully the Spurs can find some pieces to put a contender together again.

I don't think the Spurs were shopping Kawhi around and took DD as a trade. Kawhi was leaving, wasn't going to play for SA, didn't play last season. Zero offense or defense from people who don't play can easily be beaten by the likes of DD.
